Overview

The Leonardo Hotel Southampton is praised for its convenient location, near the city centre, shops, restaurants, and a park. Many guests appreciate the spacious and clean rooms, comfortable beds, and friendly staff. The breakfast is another highlight, consistently receiving positive feedback. However, a significant drawback is the lack of on-site parking, forcing guests to find parking elsewhere, often at a cost and some distance away. This is a major point of concern for many reviewers.

The staff were lovely, friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was alright, although i do think its over priced for what you get. However, the kettle in the room was disgusting. Couldnt drink coffee or tea in the morning. Something must have burnt in the kettle previously i tried to boil water twice and it tasted so bad even after rinsing the kettle multiple times and leaving no water in it by the end of the day there was brown water residue in the kettle. Also we were travelling with two children one who is a baby and needs his milk heated up morning and night and we were refused. Which i found very strange as we have stayed in hotels before and they had no problem heating up the milk for the baby. Overall our stay was fine, but don't think we'll choose this hotel again.

Great Hotel… Great Location and Nice Staff. The only recommendation is to put bottle of waters complimentary for each guest each day. It doesn’t cost nothing and is a good starter for guest traveling long hours from around the world..!!

Great room. Spacious enough for family of 4. Bathroom was ok, but extractor fan wasn’t working which meant damp is setting in but early stages. Staff were amazing and friendly. Area is has a lovely massive green space. Parking is 15 minutes to drop off. You have to be very quick we you will get ticket. I think this should be extended to 30 mins as larger families found it difficult to get crying kids out after long drive etc. closest parking is the open car park inside the University grounds. It’s £5.50 for the day until 12am. So remember to schedule next day on Ringo app in case you fall asleep before 12am. Parking isn’t far but still enough of a walk if you have to lug your luggage back and forth due to short drop off time.

We recently stayed in this hotel and found it to be an excellent choice for both convenience and comfort. The location is superb, situated near a beautiful park perfect for morning walks or evening strolls. Additionally, the high street is within easy walking distance, offering a variety of shops, restaurants, and cafes, which added to the overall enjoyment of the stay. The room was clean and comfortable. The service was excellent. Only downside was non availability of private parking space. Would definitely stay here again for the comfort, location and service!

We were there for just one night, prior to a cruise. Getting a taxi the next morning was an issue, as there were 4 cruise ships in port. We were travelling with 4 others, so got 1 taxi for 2 and big luggage, and the rest of us walked to the terminal, a 45 minute walk. Weirdly, the hotel is in the middle of a traffic circle, easily crossed to a beautiful park, close to high street
