Starz Hotel

Was not even on the property for 5 minutes and had to leave. Air conditioning not functioning, bugs flying around, and loud noise from the bar next door. When discussed with receptionist, was told that they didn’t have any other rooms available and that the booking was non-refundable. Worst experience of my life.

The stay was okay but staff at the front desk would catch an attitude when we asked for towels. They do not give out towels every day, it’s more like every other day which needs to change. The staff seemed more interested in the bar next door to them, then the guest staying. Attitudes was poor but room was okay. Definitely consider getting a car because it is not likely that you would get transportation for the taxis

They made me pay 100$ for cleaning fee and they did not want to clean the room when call . The tv was not working and no parking

It was very loud with music and cars. Had to get my door key card reset 3 times. No coffe pot or refrigerator in room. Water leaks on the floor from tolit seat. No pressure for the shower, also leaked water all over the floor. No parking area, very difficult parking safely. The AC worked good and the bed was ok. I will never stay there again

St Thomas trip was 5 Star over all. Beautiful and safe island. Starz Hotel was great! I will definitely be returning In future . Starz hotel gives you real St Thomas experience ! Super clean ! Very accommodating . Walking distances from great restaurants . Also walking distance from taxi stop. Where you can take a safari taxi for $2 and experience St Thomas FORREAL! They make you feel like family and right at home. T-Resturant and Chicken Fry has great coffee , breakfast , lunch and dinner and is very affordable, plus walking distance from hotel. I recommend activities on Expedia , night time kayak and daytime snorkeling. Overall was a great vacation. I recommend Starz Hotel for St Thomas experience ☺️

For a 1 night stay in order to get to the airport early the next day this wasn't a bad choice but if you wanted to stay there for a vacation I would strongly advise against it. The traffic in the early morning is very loud with large trucks and noisy motorcycles on the move. Also, when trying to park a car it is very dangerous as the traffic is heavy and everyone drives very fast and the parking area is very hilly and narrow. No coffee in the room and the refrigerator and the TV were not functioning. The bed was very comfortable and the shower worked fine.

The taxi charged us way too much that the hotel recommended! Make sure you know what the cost will be before agreeing! Neat little spot a lot of steps so be prepared

Basic. Rather indifferent operations and check in. Mostly, the hotel’s location is an issue if you are looking for dining or food options as they do not exist. Also, I was unable to get a taxi to travel to this location to transport me to a restaurant. Room was serviceable and clean, but did not have expected minimum standards, like an insect proof mattress cover. Thankfully, there were no bed bugs.

Upon check in I was charged an $100 deposit. I was shown to my room by the front desk clerk and was drawn back by the unwelcoming scent in the room. There were bugs flying around so much in fact my 7 year old daughter was swatting at them. I immediately checked out 5 minutes later, returned the key to the front desk, and went elsewhere. I’m currently waiting to be refunded.

When we arrived, the girl working the desk tried to charge me again for the room although I had already paid through Expedia. I had to show her where the money was taken out of my checking account so that she would not double charge me and then still had to call her manager for approval for my stay. The first room that we were given was not the room that I had paid for. I had a to go back and have it changed to the proper room. As she was trying to give us the smallest room with a double bed. It was stated that there was free parking but there were only 4 spots on a very steep hill. Stated that there were toiletries provided but there was none in the room and was told that they didn't think any were available. After we went and bought soap etc. the front desk found some. Never saw a housekeeper and when we tried to get clean towels there was no one at the front desk and was locked. Also, could get no one at the front desk when we tried to check out. Several times every night something really loud and vibrating sounded like it was coming from the room next to ours interrupting our sleep. Bedding was very uncomfortable and only a sheet and very thin blanket was provided. Overall, very disappointing hotel especially for the price that I paid. I booked a week prior and price for room dropped $80 per night the day that we checked in.
