Quality Inn West Columbia - Cayce

The clerk was exceptionally friendly and helpful. You could tell that updates had been done. There were needles in the parking lot and what appeared to be a couple of abandoned vehicles. The area around the property was pretty run down. Would not recommend it with someone with a young or teenage kids.

Decent mid-range hotel. The rooms were clean and the bed comfortable. Kind of noisy though with being next to the highway and the airport. It was close to restaurants and where we needed to be. The breakfast was not good though. The eggs were runny and the sausage very, very greasy. We couldn't eat it.

Food was almost gone by 7am, and no one brought more. Noisy, door opened onto parking lot, highway on far side of that.

1) The bathroom door did not close properly. It banged into the toilet to close and then it still did not close properly. 2) The toilet was not seated properly to the floor. This may have been because of the door issue. The toilet did wobble. 3) there was mold on the shower wall where the plastic surround joined the tub at the caulk line. In some instances it was over 3 inches long. 4) At least one of the bed spreads had holes in it. This wasn't a burn mark but a cut square hole. The staff was very nice and even though I booked the last 2 queen bed rooms available and it was a smoking room ( I did not see that when I booked it or I would have chosen another hotel) they did try to offer me a non-smoking single king room. But this would not work for a family of 4. The overall property was ok. I did see that they piled carpet from a room next to the stairwell we traveled. This should not be in view of guests. Very disgusting. I could not image what our rooms carpet was like underneath. I can not believe Quality Inn District Management would not inspect their properties more frequently to identify situations like this property.

If you like mold in your shower, this is the place for you! They advertise free breakfast, but had no coffee for 2 out of a 2-day stay. Next door to a truck stop and near the airport. Low flying jets overhead made it pretty noisy. Outdoor ashtrays were not emptied at all while we were there so cigarette butts on the ground were a common sight. Beds appeared clean and were comfortable.

The check I was smooth and quick. The rook is comfortable and parking is easy.

This establishment was filthy and run down. My flights were delayed so my arrival was at 3am. When i opened the door to my non-smoking room the stench of old cigarettes almost knocked me down. The toilet seat had spots of urine and pubic hair on it. The bed linens and towels were stained, as was the floor of the shower. The bathroom vent was covered in a layer of deep gray dust. The bathroom countertop was gritty to the touch. The lamps were very dusty. Trim and walls were peeling and discolored. The building itself was filthy and run down, exterior walkways to rooms were poorly lit with unbagged trash on them, and frequently no one at the front desk, and with spotty wifi. I had originally booked 3 nights, but checked out after two - it was so gross.

Came late and attendant was understanding and very nice. Room given was perfect for our late arrival and very close to parking for our vehicle. It was a very affordable and nice stay for the night. We were very happy with it.
