Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham Des Moines Airport

Nightmare from start to finish. Flying all day for a sports tournament. Had this room for months booked, get there after we land to find out they cancelled my reservation saying they couldn’t call me to confirm. I told them I was flying all day and they could care less. No place to stay they said they were booked. They said my card declined but I chose pay at hotel option. Walked outside and rebooked on Expedia after being told they have no rooms. Tried to avoid the rude front desk during my stay but my key didn’t work, constantly harassed about how much breakfast we were eating. I only had one serving of the same watered down gravy with biscuits each morning. I pre paid my second reservation and had to go to the desk before leaving for sports the night before after staying with a friend for the one homeless night with my son, to check and make sure they were not going to sell my room and I would come back to a place to sleep. Listed as having a gym. One old treadmill, a bike and yoga mat is what’s in there. It’s cheap and close to the airport is all it has going for it.

We stay here every year when we visit family, which says something positive. of the highly rated hotels, this is one of the least expensive. Clean rooms, friendly staff, prompt airport shuttle, decent breakfast.

Good location for early flight out of town. Unfortunately, the property needs upgrades as rooms are “tired.” Room was musty. Using the AC only exacerbated the problem as it seemed to be full of mold, didn’t stay on, and didn’t cool the room well. Bottom line … don’t stay here if you have allergies until they revamp the property.

I specifically booked a stay at a motel that is "Pet Friendly" . We have a VERY well-behaved Standard Poodle. On arrival at 1am, there was a plaque on the counter that read "Absolutely no pets"! I wasn't going to try and find a different hotel at such a late hour, so I snuck my dog in and had her sleep in her travel kennel. In the morning, I heard numerous dogs barking in room s in the hotel. Also, the breakfast offered is ALL Carbs, no protein. We ate elsewhere. Finally, while the night check in clerk was friendly, his english is almost impossible to understand.

Wonderful experience. Didn’t even wait 5 minutes for the shuttle from the airport. Once I got to the hotel I was greeted with a smiling face. Quick easy check in

Really enjoy the prompt shuttle and 24 hour desk with pleasant staff. Our sink faucet was almost impossible to turn on and off. Very noisy most of night from other guests.

Needed a last minute one night stay due to cancelled flight. Everything about the location was average but fit the bill. Check-in and check out was fast and easy. The room itself was clean, just a bit dated. Hallway had various different smells, sometimes a little unpleasant. Free shuttle to the airport is a nice perk. Felt safe, which was important. Because we didn't have a car, it was hard to get around.
