Holiday Inn Harrisburg East, an IHG Hotel

I called the hotel approximately three hours prior to arriving as we were getting there after midnight. The clerk advised that their shuttle would be available. After arrival at the airport I called and was told that the driver was sent home for the night. We were kind of stranded, so to speak, until I found a taxi operating at that time of night. This was disappointing. Fast forward to the morning. The shower was but a trickle of water. This is very unacceptable. Being in a rush, this was not brought to management's attention as they should have known the condition of the bathroom. I have been an avid fan of HI Express for many years now. This has placed a funk on my experience and expectations.

The employees make this hotel. They were friendly and extremely helpful. The shuttle from the airport was great! That said, the hotel needs to take care of some basics. Coffee in the lobby was cold and old. The desk clerk went to get me a hot cup. Coffee maker in room wasn’t working. Gym is decent. Location is fine.

Right off all the highways. There is a Wendy's right there in the same parking lot. My room was immaculate, and they have name brand soap and body wash which is a nice touch. Has a pool...but I didn't check it out. Type of place you stay when your middling soccer team advances to regionals.

The lady at the front desk was rude and didn’t smile much. We stay one night and had a bunch of Kids running through the halls and banging on our doors until midnight. I travel a lot and this was the worst hotel I ever stay at.

I arrived in Harrisburg at 11pm and had to wait 1 hour for the shuttle to pick me up from the airport. Called multiple time when I landed to make sure that they know I needed a pick up

After two trips up to rooms that had smoke detectors chirping we were finally put in a suite in the fifth floor that was a little quieter, the lobby was filled with teen hockey players making noise at arrival 10pm, suspect it was teens that somehow found their way to rooms unoccupied and removed batteries from smoke detectors. It’s a shame the parents of those players didn’t keep tabs on the bunch. Staff was friendly and more than accommodating to place us in an upgraded room, to bad I had an early flight out and missed the breakfast, sure that would have also been loud.

Perfect for a night stay for an early flight out of Harrisburg Airport. $5 parking per day with a free shuttle to and from airport. Kids eat free and if you buy breakfast tickets ahead of time it adults are only $5. Hotel is clean, staff is helpful, pool and breakfast are average.

Good location, a short drive to Harrisburg airport and easy access to the Turnpike. Hotel and rooms are clean. Tea & coffee available in the morning on weekdays, but no breakfast. Wendys and Taco Bell right out fron though

It was okay for a place to sleep. We had 5 people in our group and there was 1 towel in the room. We had to ask 3 times over two days to finally get towels. We were also traveling with 2 kids who like to swim and the pool was closed so that was disappointing.

Clean, safe hotel, close to airport.
