Red Lion Hotel Harrisburg Hershey

Wow! This was the best hotel experience we’ve had! Our stay was a short overnight, but it was worth reviewing. Very clean, so much for the kids to do, and the staff members were too notch! We have traveled a lot, with and without children. This was the best experience we have had yet.

Friendly staff, renovations were nice in the lobby area,and pools...the room was a different story. Looked like just put a few new upgrades right over the old,especially the bathroom. Id still stay there again because it was clean and the staff were great. Even brought the shuttle in an hour earlier to accommodate my flight schedule and would not let me tip.

Close to all types of restaurants lots of property to take my dog out shuttle to and from the show was great same as the driver

The room we stayed in was ok out dated had a slight slope coming out of the bathroom and 1st time I went out of the bathroom and I didn’t know about the slope stumbled and hit closet door. Had a very early morning flight and was told that the hotel had a courtesy van but found out it doesn’t start til 7:00am. I had to leave hotel at 5:30am to catch flight, so luckily I had a friend that was able to take me to the Airport.

We traveled with 3 pups and the Red Lion Inn was so accommodating and reasonable (flat $25 fee no matter how many pets). The staff was very helpful and friendly. The grounds are amazing…beautiful pool and hot tub. Lots of areas to walk the pups from the first floor rooms for folks with pets. We stayed on our way to our destination and on the way back. Would return in a heart beat.

We stayed here to attend a formal reception. The shuttle service, front desk, top to bottom was SO accommodating.

Average 3/5. Budget Family resort. If you’re used to staying at Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt or modern style hotels then this will be disappointing. This is a budget family resort so you’ll need to greatly lower your expectations. Pros: Clean premise and outdoor pool, good customer service, family atmosphere, arcade, restaurant on site. Cons: Outdated bedrooms, furniture, bathrooms, and appliances. Indoor pool needs cleaning and update. I tried my best to like this hotel. Wife travels and stays at Hiltons and Marriotts. I fought for family to stay here as we have 2 kids and wanted a resort style hotel. Unfortunately the hotel is outdated and need of repairs. While many hotels renovated during the pandemic this hotel did minimum. We were looking for an annual family resort in PA but this did not meet expectations. We were going to Hershey (annually) and this was 20 mins away. For reference; Rooms need upgrades and overall cosmetic look of hotel need a makeover. Outdoor pool and main lobby are the highlight. But everything else is run down, rusty, squeaks etc. Our room was a good size but the fridge was unstable with uneven legs. The freezer had frozen over so nothing can be placed in it. Old paint stains on table and sofa. Bathroom tiles cracked and no anti slip features. I actually slipped and cut my hand on the tile. Overall I would not stay here again unless they did a upgrade and makeover. For the price $200-$300 a night there’s other modern hotels.

Room was full of knats flying around. Towels smelled very bad. Hot tub full of bugs. Used to love staying here, was a lot better when it was ran by Holiday inn. Wont be back to stay.

Staff were very friendly. Room were cleaned and organized! Were able to find a parking lot close to the room

Everyone I encountered was so kind and welcoming! Made my very first trip to Pennsylvania one to remember! Thank you all for making sure I got to the airport safe and sound! God Bless!!
