DoubleTree by Hilton Ontario Airport

We were traveling with our high school aged son so we wanted a room with a little more room. We reserved the two-bedroom suite option. $295 plus taxes and fees. We checked in late in the evening after arriving on delayed flights. We were exhausted. We got to our room (1107) and were overwhelmed by the stench of cat urine in the second bedroom where the king size bed was. We sprayed a little hair spray and perfume from our bags to mask the smell to no avail. Too tired to go to the lobby, complain and change rooms, we just went to bed. I took me almost an hour to fall asleep even covering my head with an extra pillow to dull the stench. I notified hotel staff in the morning about the situation. They refunded $100. Kind and understanding, they are looking into it. A nice gesture but frankly I would not even pay $50 for a room that smelled like that. Let alone $240.

Close to the airport! Staff very helpful as they welcome you with warm cookies. The rooms are very spacious and clean.

The staff was very rude. The check-in line was long and very slow. They required a $300 credit card hold on a room that was paid in full in advance. Check in was delayed by an hour. Front desk person denied telling us to return in an hour and rooms would be ready. Instead of taking responsibility for the delayed check-in the young lady said it was our fault because we didn’t want a first floor room. The hotel charged us $17/day for parking in their lot on the property, a lot that’s been free in the past. When we finally got upstairs the housekeeping ladies were laughing and talking, which explains why the rooms weren’t ready at check in time. The room was marginally clean. There was hair on the bathroom floor and the bedding smelled like a person. Very inconvenient, not customer friendly.

The check in could have been better we arrived at 2:00 but location would not assign us to a room until 3:00PM we had an appointment At 3:00 so we left. When we arrived at 8:00pm we had to wait in line again finally we were assigned the two room reserved. Not what I expect at a double tree and we were charged 17$ a night for parking

Great location very close to airport, hotel has a restaurant (Porter Steak House) and a night club (Misty’s Lounge) inside… BIGGEST 👎 to me but not much of a big deal is that the hotel will charge you $17 for parking

As a disabled guest, I sent my wife in to register for us while I remained in the car in the temporary parking space because all three of the non-hotel shuttle disabled spaces were taken. I sent her in with my identification and credit card. The registration clerk would not let her check in, even after speaking to me on the phone. It was only after my wife insisted on speaking to a manager that we were able to check in. I’ve practiced law in this county for 20 years and this is the only time and place that this has ever happened.

Conveniently close to the airport

Started off with a very nice clerk, She was so nice to me. First she gave me on room on 3rd floor. That to much walking for my leg, ask did they have a room on first floor yes, parking fee waive and she offer me help you need a wheelchair. They even text your Phone to check on you. Outstanding. Room nice and Clean All Staff very very nice. Will come again if in Town.

For an older hotel, room was clean, comfortable, good amenities. Staff was friendly. Received warm delicious cookies at check-in. Hotel has a restaurant, bar and a Starbucks in house. They do charge $100 deposit per night and charge $15 per day for parking. Stayed here for close proximity to event. Would stay here again but at a lower price.

Best hotel to stay in Ontario! The rooms were spacious. Had room for at least 6 people ( family suite) had a restaurant for all the meals, close to restaurants and shopping. Shuttle to and from airport. Gym and pool facilities. The grounds reminded me of Hawaii with the greenery and landscaping. Warm cookies at check in Cons $500 deposit
