La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Pensacola

We first pulled in to be greeted by bums in the parking lot, up and down the hallway was gangster like individuals with tear drop tattoos under eyes, then extremely loud Spanish music playing at pool with people not staying at the hotel grilling and dancing in the parking lot, then we attempted to ignore it all and take my daughter in the pool only to have gangsters spitting all around her in the pool! Front desk staff excused all concerns! Extremely rude! Garage lined up along back side of building, whole backside vacant and open rooms, and whole place smelled like Cuban cigars and weed! Front of hotel was very deceiving!

We were placed in a room at the back side of the property and the parking area was wet, slippery and muddy. There was an open water hose running at a slow drip. The door was hard to open and had a gap at the bottom that let the light from the parking lot shine in. The sink drain had to be manually operated and the water never got hot. the tub bottom was rough and stained.

I did not like anything about the property, they had old air conditioning units laying in the parking lot, they charged me $75 extra for a 2 small dogs, hotel day clerk was not friendly at all, very disappointing, will never stay there again. Also , the window would not lock in our room , all the rooms had holes drilled in the windows to where someone could slide the lock .(if the window would lock). Outdated property. Dirty.

I was traveling by myself for a weekend business trip. Motel room was clean and comfortable. Furniture and facilities are very outdated and need to be replaced. Overall a good stay and I would return if traveling by myself.

The staff was great, the lobby was nice. The parking lot was dangerous for handicapped people, not enough parking close to our room. The rooms opened outside like a Motel, not a hotel, and the room access was not easy. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was adequate.

We were told there were no connecting rooms, so we asked for and were told that adjacent rooms were available as we were travelling with teenage kids. Rooms were several doors apart. We were assigned rooms where the doors could not be opened easily from the inside. We had to change rooms three times to find acceptable accommodations. In one room the TV or the microwave or the refrigerator would trip off when any one was turned on. Floors were filthy - not having been properly vacuumed, and clearly not changed in years. The rooms smelled stale, uninviting. The only reason we stayed was that we had been on the road for 10 hours an the kids were very tired. A very horrible experience.

My friend and I arrived to check in (mail e had made a reservation the night before) and when we checked in the front desk lady made VERY strange noises and a face while looking up our room. It was SO STRANGE! It continued for 5 min and I almost asked if something was wrong…we got to our room and it was SO HOT. I tried to turn the AC unit down but it didn’t come on. I called the front desk and the same lady asked us to find the thermostat on the wall….I promise you we searched that entire room and there is absolutely no thermostat. She was very nice but I was totally weirded out. Also, the parking lot was so sketchy. There were people that were OBVIOUSLY not guests just “hanging around” and drinking 40s over by our car. The only parking available was right next to them and I constantly woke up to check on our vehicle. We did not feel safe due to the individuals literally hanging out in the parking lot all night long!!

Like most of the La Quinta's this one is being remodeled. But it's also listed on the website. The staff was professional, helpful, friendly and accommodating. The hotel was clean and the room was clean and fresh and everything worked fine. The parking was right outside of the room. Felt safe. I will stay there again. Thank you staff for everything.

Bathroom dirty, parking lot difficult to navigate with containers and large trucks, no working ice machine, breakfast subpar, very friendly staff, extremely worn mattress, stained bedding, broken microwave, no soaps
