When we checked in, our room had a very strong smell - like really strong cleaner. Which was weird, because the room did not feel clean. We had a two queen room. My husband and I shared one of the queen beds. The mattress was more like a taco and we spent an uncomfortable night rolling into each other. The best thing that happened was the locking mechanism broke in our original room, so they had to move us to a new room, which had slightly better mattresses. The free breakfast was very limited and the parking felt unsafe. In fact, you couldn't pull out of their parking garage without scarping the bottom of the car. The staff attempted to be helpful with the room, but not by much. We won't stay here again when visiting our family in town.

They are finally updating the look. New flooring and batbroom and beds, definitely better then before. Now they need to work on the garage parking. I swear every timw I exit the garage, all u derneath my car gets scraped and Im sk afraid my muffler will fall off and my car is a normal chevy cruze, its not a cusomized car where ita lowered or anything, and no we aren't overweight. Its just too steep when your exiting. They need to do something to fix this plz.

It's a very basic room. Similar to a Motel 6. I needed a nice bed to stay while waiting for my flight. There was no bugs. It was clean. No amenities. Just basic.

Very convenient to and from airport, minutes walk to old town shops and Whaley museum. Comfy bed and pleasant staff. Definitely stay here!

This property is very run down and doesn’t feel “clean”. The towels were crusty. The room had lots of chipped paint, loose baseboards and didn’t smell great. The free “breakfast” isn’t breakfast at all. It is this tiny room with I’m on my a guy that makes waffles for you and few other dry options. They should not advertise free breakfast, very deceiving. The staff were friendly but the place was not enjoyable because it feels old and dirty. You have to park on the street or pay $15 a night to use parking garage which was inconvenient because the road is very busy being next to old town.

The only thing I think that would be a better and more helpful to the customers is have free parking.

Good value for the money. Room was clean and comfortable. Carpet in hallway was not too clean. There was one employee helping with breakfast on a sunlit patio with vie blocked by an adjacent building. Breakfast was passable - coffee, juice, cold cereal, hot waffles, toast and small muffins or cupcakes. Enclosed unmonitored parking was convenient. Staff were courteous and friendly.

Went on a last minute trip for my son’s birthday to San Diego for SeaWorld. Also, wanted to stay close by old town San Diego. This place is about a 5-10 minute walk from old town if you want to walk and avoid the parking there. Also, only about a 10 minute drive to SeaWorld. The location is perfect if you’re planning on visiting the sites San Diego has to offer. They offer breakfast as well: waffles, cereal, muffins, etc. It wasn’t the nicest places I’ve stayed in, plus there is a parking fee, however, the staff were really nice. I told them why we were there and what was going on in my life and they waved the parking fee for me. Also, ask for extra pillows, blankets, coffee, you get it quick. The room has a microwave (came in handy), mini fridge, TV, ac/heater, etc. I’d stay there again given the price and location. They are under renovation, so looking forward to see if they improve several things inside the rooms and the outside hallways. Kind of like a little better Motel 6.
