Holiday Inn Express Tallahassee University Central, an IHG Hotel

The hotel front desk were very nice. Check in and out was easy. The parking is VERY limited and over flow goes to a sketchy feeling poorly lit parking garage. I would stay her again and just arrive earlier where my chances of parking are better.

The room that we stayed in was like an echo-chamber! An end unit that had doors on either side of the hall. Our neighbors rolled in after midnight with what sounded like 8 kids. They screamed and ran the hallway on/off for 2 hours. Terrible night! Also, the road noise which was right outside our window made it sound like we were on the acutal road. After traveling all day from SC, we needed rest and got NONE! We finally got up early as there was no power from the storm. We were surprised that there was no generator to at least have lights in order to shower.

Great location. Friendly and accommodating staff. Easy parking. Good breakfast.

Not a great area. Need places closer to the airport.

Comfortable bed but musty smell upon entering the room; had to spray a refresher to get the smell out. Parking was horrible. Not able to accommodate parking for the amount of guest they have; had to park on a curb due to limited parking.

Clean and close to FAU campus. Three of my four showers over the course of mg stay were cold…complained and was just told they were having an issue…no attempts to try to make it better! Parking was an issue…not enough spots. I got lucky but others didn’t with parking. They are extremely stingy with towels. I had a room for four and there were three towels and when I asked for six more for my three day stay I was looked at like I was crazy! Also with a two night stay there was no room housekeeping! I won’t be staying here again and do not recommend!

The coffee area in my room was full of ants, and after I reported it to the front desk, nothing was done. For whatever reason the alarms went off at midnight for no apparent reason. The sofa bed in my room as without sheets, pillows and linen, and the mattress was thin and hard. The parking lot garage was dirty and muddy which made it uncomfortable to take any luggage to the car. There were shady people in the parking lot and the surrounding areas didn’t seem safe.

When we asked for pillows with no feathers we were told they didn't have any and that it wasn't specified at the time of booking. Yes, we did neglect to think of it at the time. It was only after asking to speak to the manager that 2 non allergic pillows appeared. It was a battle to get those 2 extra pillows. When asking for some writing paper because the room did not supply any, we were told they were all out. Never did get that paper. The entrance and exit from the hotel parking lot was EXTREMELY inconvenient. Sometimes we had to go around the block just to get in. The breakfast was good but the coffee, which you would expect to be served first, came after we asked--is there coffee? The only good thing was it's proximity to Florida State University which we visited.. However, I can drive a couple more miles for a better experience.

I enjoy using the fitness center at hotels when i travel and the room was in terrible shape in this hotel. The treadmill almost tipped over when i tried using it. The stationary bike wasn't operational. There wasn't any water or towels and it wasn't very clean. A total disappointment.

Very pleased with my stay. I travel to Tallahassee frequently as I have two kids enrolled at FSU; have stayed in a variety of low-mid-priced hotels. This property was clearly among the best I have d stayed at. Clean & well-kept, everything in room worked, friendly & efficient staff. As I have several more trips planned there over the next few months I will definitely consider this property first!
