Blue Ocean Village

My family and I really enjoyed our stay at the Blue Ocean Village. We enjoyed the quiet and peaceful setting. The beach was beautiful and the snorkeling was great. Lonah was a wonderful host and very attentive to our travel questions.

An Oasis! Steps away from the beach and restaurants. The area is a quaint, quiet, and secure not far from the bars and spots downtown. The studio was clean and exceeded my expectations! Lonah was very kind and provided me with good information to help me get around. The beach was an added bonus and literally perfect. I prefer to watch the sunset by the beach and basically had the entire beach to myself. Perfect for solo travelers.

Where do I begin? This hidden gem is the perfect quiet place to get away for those who do not prefer the big resort hotel type vacation. Stayed here with our family of 4, kids ages 11 and 9, in flamingo cay, the 2 bedroom residence. From the moment we checked in we were greeted with kindness from Lonah and later the owner Isaac. The residence itself was exactly what we expected. Clean, spacious and a few seconds walk to the beautiful private beach with comfy seating. Ocean and beach clean, safe and peaceful. Surrounding local neighbors also very friendly and quiet. Location within 10 minute walk to great restaurants (Meze grille, Tonino’s, and Social house were our favorites). In a very safe area, comfortable walking at night. We did not rent a car and relied on the recommend car service Miss Miller, who was wonderful. She was very personable and her recommendations made our stay even better, with rates better than traditional taxis. When we return to the area we will absolutely stay here again, hopefully sooner than later!

What a wonderful, wonderful place! Lonah, Isaac, Arnold and Brandi were amazing! After a terrible day of canceled flights and an overnight in another city, Isaac had a bottle of merlot waiting at the door. He also made arrangements for me to stay an extra day to compensate for our lost time. It was seamless. Lonah was always available and answered our every need. Blue Ocean Village also introduced us to the heart and soul of the island, Ms. Miller who taxied us to all of the sites and hidden gems. The property was pristine, the property managers were all so friendly and you are steps from the beach. Oh yes...how could I forget, our private white sand beach with the clearest bluest water that you could wish for. Dreamy! It was an amazing stay and you really made it special. We will be back!

My stay at Blue Ocean Village was exceptional! Lonah was very communicative and made the stay so easy. The location could not be beat--the quiet, private beach a 20 second walk away meant that I did not have to worry about taking the bus to any public beaches. There were a decent number of places to eat within walking distance, too. Lonah also helped arrange my taxi to the airport at the end of my stay.

This property was through a cozy corner with immaculate beach access and ocean views! Modern cottage aesthetics and very clean with an exception of a few dishes. We felt safe and surrounding area was convenient due to grocery and affordable dining options. We were uncertain upon arrival which building it was as there are many through this cozy corner but we remembered reviews showed it was a blue building. Lonah, who is very hospitable, checked us in early at our request and we appreciated that! Both main and back-up Wi-Fi’s were inconsistent from day 1 and local work being done on day 3 leading straight into our check out day, by the local phone network, further disrupted internet access our entire stay! I recommend the family apartment, due to the access to the beach and the area at the front of the apartment where kids can play whether at the table or in the front yard space. It’s super quiet with the exception of the contractors working at this time, which was NOT much noise. There was also parking for our small SUV.

Loved the eco-friendly electricity system. Motion sensor light is definitely a great option for families traveling with small children to minimize on electricity cost. Clean apartment, great host (Lonah) and great modern cottage aesthetics. We felt at home and the bedroom on the right is the coziest! We loved our stay and will most likely be back. Affordable dining options near-by and awesome distance to grocery stores! Taxis and buses run are accessible from this property. Dining and doing a day-pass for Bahamar Resort was the highlight of our stay!
