The Sunset Stay BnB

This little gem is a sleeper. Just 15 minutes outside of the heart of town, its also accessible to the airport. The place is very clean, and has modern updates. For the price it can’t be beat!!!

My flight was delayed by one day. When I arrived at sunset stay there was no one in the office to let me in and the lock box was broken. I had to walk outside in the heat at over 95 degrees with my heavy luggage. A taxi driver saw me struggling with my Luggage and sweating profusely. No network to call anyone for help. The taxi driver called the office manager who said someone was supposed to be there. He drove me back there and charged me $30.00. Will never go there again.

The facilities were good but the person in charge of the office/cleaning was terribly rude. She has no interest in ensuring the tourist a good travel experience. When asked to allow talking to the manager she refused to put the manager on the line. Hope the hotel reconsiders employing her any further.

The ocean view was beautiful. I wish it was from the balcony not the parking lot. The room was clean and equipped with everything you would need except it only had one mirror that was in the bathroom. I traveled with my husband and my son. I had to wait to do hair and makeup…and There was no covering for the bathroom window on the ground floor. Asides from that, the staff was great, it was convenient located to the Airport and the basic necessities. The area was very well lit at night. It felt safe. I would recommend it.

Its always a pleasure when I visit The Sunset Stay... just wished I had time to stay longer! They're always upgrading and improving their apart-hotel offerings and I'm here for it! That memory foam king bed almost caused me to miss my flight! Love this hotel 10/20

The beach across the street was great but there’s a better beach really close that you can see and walk to easily, we didn’t realize there’s actually a driver at the hotel that will drive you around and he was so friendly and helpful, we cancelled our plans with another taxi and had him take us back to the airport!!

Property was clean and offered complimentary kayak amenities. The BnB was immaculate and super convenient with the stovetop and kitchen conveniences. Areas of improvement- communication from contact was super delayed in trying to establish landmark upon arrival. Additionally, I had a later flight and requested permission for a late check out no response at all. The staff was obviously short because we never received clean linens unless asked at office and that took at 4 hours with no communication as to the delay. Overall, an excellent property the view is absolutely stunning with the beach immediately across the street.

Rooms are nicely appointed, comfortable and clean with decent furnishings. Less than 10 min drive to the airport and right across from the beach with unobstructed sunset views. Rental cars are available onsite. A good grocery store is a short car ride down the road. We much enjoyed Nesbitts restaurant only a few min walk down the street with friendly mature patrons, billiards tables, good music and good food. We enjoyed the quieter location compared to being closer to the city and would have no problems booking a room here again.

While it may not be the responsibility of the establishment, the power outage occurred for two consecutive nights. Despite the presence of a generator, it only operated for a brief 10-minute period before shutting off. The internet connection, or WiFi, was unsatisfactory. Additionally, there were several maintenance issues within the unit that required attention, which I duly reported. Regrettably, no action was taken to address these concerns, including the broken lock on the bathroom window and the excessive sand in the parking area, which proved to be a nuisance. Improved parking facilities should be considered for guests' convenience. I must acknowledge that my messages were promptly attended to by a responsive individual, and my request for room relocation was accommodated. The location itself is highly appealing, with the beach conveniently situated just across the road.

We enjoyed the stay at sunset stay. We loved the beach outside the hotel. They had benches that can be used to sit on the beach without getting wet. Owners provided contact of taxi drivers who were very helpful thorough out the stay. Room was very clean and had all utensils we needed. Overall, an excellent experience 👌
