It was located continently close to the ice rink, had a kitchen, washer and dryer. However, the property is extremely dirty. Greasy handprints on walls, dirty floors, elevator, mirrors. Had junkies consuming drugs in the back parking lot. Would never go there again.

There were junkies in the parking lot, leaving used needles lying on the ground. We had to switch rooms because our first room smelt like cat urine and the carpet was wet and sticky. Furniture was in poor condition (they said they were going to change it and then didn’t). No one came for room service despite us calling 3x. Then they came the next day but only brought towels and didn’t clean the room. There was no coffee for the coffee maker and the teflon frying pan was scratched beyond useable. Beds were very uncomfortable and the curtains didn’t close properly. Only redeeming thing was the staff were friendly and did what the could. We ended up going home one night early even though we’d already paid for the room. Two other families were there with us and they also had to switch rooms due to poor cleanliness and smell.

The first thing I noticed was the back on the office chair at the desk was loose. Looking under, it needs four large screws to be secure. There was just one relatively close to being tightened, and one about to fall out. Dangerous. Next I noticed the cupboard door under the kitchen sink was in a similar state - all of the screws were loose and it was about to fall off. The doorknob to the door between the bedroom and bathroom was also very loose, and it tended to lock when closing it. In the bathroom, one of the two lights above the sink was out. Too dim for close work for sure. Walking my dog in the parking lot, we noticed an adjacent property with about seven dumpsters, all overflowing onto the ground. That's when we noticed a dead rat in the parking lot of the hotel. Yuk. For this much money, I expected way more. Sorry for them, I will not be back.

The reservation booked with Expedia did not transfer over to the front desk. We were given a room that was not as booked and had to request a change which staff did promptly. We did not get our room serviced because we did not put the card on the door. This should have been highlighted to us at check in.

Amazed to find a condo- like room rather than a typical hotel room. Beautiful estheticly - but little things like many, many interior doors, all of which squeeked loudly, and sloping floors detracted from the high end look of the rooms. But still grateful for a clean, comfortable King bed - although not have no bedside table on one side was inconvenient. On the bright side - it was very quiet. No sound transfer at all!!!

Very central to everything we wanted to do & everyone we wanted to see. Huge hotel! Denny’s room service & a brand new restaurant in the parking lot. We did a pickup order & the food was hot & delicious. We travelled with our toddler & baby. The room we stayed in had a separate bedroom which was fantastic for bedtime. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Very nice room, deluxe king suite. Very close for visiting family and friends in and around Abbotsford. Superstore is right across the street so great for grabbing needed items. New Restaurant(The R) in same parking lot was very good.

Pleasantly surprised at how nice this property was. I did not expect it for a Sandman Hotel. Rooms were very generous size. The kitchen well equipped. And the bathroom well supplied. Well done. I would consider staying here again when I travel to Abbotsford.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Sandman Hotel. Everything was clean, fresh, quiet and totally well planned for the traveler. The staff were top-notch.
