Property is not as I expected it to be: Not accessible by car as road is blocked off to auto traffic so not easy to navigate if you are physically challenged. Also, there are steps to get into the property and more steps to get to the elevator to get to reception on the second floor. Breakfast is passable for a budget-conscious traveler. Otherwise, location is excellent.

Staff very helpful and friendly, arrived before room was ready and asked if i could leave bag so i could explore the town. But they gave me another room, my tour the next day was early and they offered to allow me breakfast early so not to miss out.
Location is right on the main shopping street great locations very handy for stop 6.
Even though it has a lift to floors not suitable for some with difficulties as you have 3 large steps to get into building, then a flight before reaching the lift.
Ensuite very tiny but perfect for one person, whole hotel very warm, even with rad off in room and window open it wasvery warm

Shopping stores and restaurants are right outside the hotel. The hotel has wonderful staff and free breakfast. Rainbow street is behind the hotel. There are about three steps right outside the door and about another 6 or 7 steps inside to get to the elevator to see the receptionist. It's difficult to carry the luggage up these steps after a long flight. The Viking restaurant is right outside the hotel which is convenient, however, loud music at night that stops around 3am makes it difficult to have a restful night. The room developed a sulfur smell after the 2nd night and worsen the day after. The hotel handle the smell the same day. When we came back from a tour, the smell was gone. The proximity to the shopping and restaurant areas is wonderful! No car needed. Closest bus stop is 6 (3min walking distance) and not 14 as the elevator in the hotel states. I would definitely stay in this hotel again, despite the loud music in the night. Nothing that earplugs cannot solve.

Paolo the reception/check in employee was amazing! He made sure we got our room early when we arrived in the morning and offered us breakfast after our long travel day. The rooms are comfortable and clean. Great location to walk all around Reykjavík.

The biggest problem was parking which was street parking only.

Centrally located and close to all shops, restaurants downtown. Average breakfast for Iceland hotels. Bread, cold meats, coffee, juicy, skyr, cereal and pastries. Rooms small but again standard for Iceland. Unless you go to Radisson or Hilton (more expensive). No parking but a public lot is within 2 blocks (20 dollars per 24 hrs).
Clean. Has elevator.
Been traveling to Iceland frequently for past 15 years and always try to stay in a different hotel. This one is typical, average. The main attraction is its location

Pablo who was at the Reception desk was absolutely wonderful. He seemed to go out of his way to make sure my accommodations were to my liking. I must say when I first entered my room I felt it was a bit small, And without A/C I felt this wasn’t going to work out, Having a opened window without a screen was to me unacceptable with the fear of flying bugs entering the room. But Pablo assured me I had no worries and he was right. I soon adjusted to the room and found it comfortable and slept well because Pablo accommodated me with a room where The street noise was unheard from my room. It was quite all night. Would I choose to stay here should I ever return to Reykjavik? Perhaps I would. The Breakfast was much better then I thought it would be because I enjoy hash browns and sausage with my Scrambled eggs that most Hotels serve, All that this Hotel didn’t serve, But they did have hard boiled eggs and a decent variety of breakfast items to fill you up for the day. Yes, All in all my stay was much better then I thought it would be from when I first entered my room. And Pablo is responsible for making my stay that much more enjoyable.

This is a lovely hotel! Staff people are very friendly and helpful. Our room was immaculate. We had a corner room (304) with lots of windows and a great view of the activity on the streets below. Many restaurants, shops and attractions are within easy walking distance.
We arrived early in the morning following an overnight flight from Chicago. Since our reserved room was already unoccupied, the staff offered us the opportunity to check in early and go directly to the dining room for breakfast. The extra cost of 35 euros was well worth it.
The breakfast buffet was simple, with fresh fruits, juices, cheese, sliced meat, cereals, boiled eggs, yogurt, a variety of delicious breads and condiments. We had breakfast six days in a row, and the offerings were identical each time. I would have liked to have some variety in the meat and cheese from day to day; it got a bit old eating the same thing every day. But everything was fresh and plentiful. The dining room, located on the third floor, is bright and cheery, with windows on three sides for a great view.
Just for guests' info, I would point out that this small hotel does not have a lobby/common area where guests can hang out. The check-in desk is in a small space on the second floor. Also, there is no bar or restaurant. These are not complaints: I'm just pointing it out because it's different from most hotels which have large lobby areas.
We loved this hotel and will definitely stay there again when we return to Reykjavik!

The receptionist was amazing! We need a room in the quieter side of the hotel after delayed flights. They didn't have any available but she promptly checked with partner locations close by and offered to move us at no extra cost. As it was a bday booking, they were kind enough to ensure that it felt special, and memorable!! Huge thanks to the staff member who helped us out on April 7/8.
