Room With a View Hotel

Loved the stay. The one drawback is that there is no person desk attendant. Good to know in case you have luggage delivery from the airport when you are not at the hotel.

Close to the airport and spacious rooms.

Place was great overall. Clean and spacious, however as it is downtown, parking is a little hard to find.

It’s very convenient and very clean , parking is an issue though !

The hotel is near a bar that plays loud music from 7:30 pm until midnight. Hard to sleep and wake up for early morning flight . Pillows are terrible. Need new pillows. Great location during morning early afternoon.

Great location in central downtown, with good P3 parking nearby. Is next door to a live music bar so can be noisy up to 10pm but ok after then. Didn't get any kind of room service until we asked after 5 days. I would chose this place again thought because it was comfortable, clean and safe.

Amazing location, limited parking. Above a live music bar, but did not hear it too loud, but be aware if you're sensitive to sound.

The good - there couldn’t be a better location. This is right in the center of the tourist area. Many shops, restaurants, and the famous “rainbow street”. Beds are comfortable, a nespresso maker with pods in the room. The bad - It was not made clear when I booked this hotel that it is fully self-serve. There is not a receptionist, or any staff there. I was emailed a code to get into the hotel and another code for the room. There was a group of elderly women who had been just sitting in the lobby for hours, unsure of what to do. The luggage storage is unsecured and unattended, which made me nervous. If you need two beds instead of one, email them ahead of time because you will not see an employee. There is no deadbolt or way to secure the room door from the inside. As two young women in a foreign country, this made us nervous. We pushed a chair against the door so at least we would wake up if someone entered. The very bad - there is a live band in the bar on floor one. Every night. Our room was on floor two, exactly above the band. They started playing at 8pm and stopped at exactly 11pm, and it sounded like they were playing inside of our room it was so loud. If you plan to be out and about until 11 or later, this isn’t a problem. However, if you are exhausted from a long flight and haven’t slept in over 24 hours, it will be torture. Even with ear plugs it was loud. The band was quite good though, and played a wide variety of songs.

I just want to thank Asgeir (I’m not sure if that’s the correct spelling) for helping us with a reservation we needed to change. If you take flybus or a tour ask for stop 6, even if you’re told it’s the same distance as stop 14.

This property is located in the middle of it all. There were lot's of options for dining and shopping and everything was within walking distance. Bus stop for airport transportation and excursions was just a 5 to 10 minute walk from the property. It is located on a no drive street and we liked that. You do not need a car if you stay at this property. There is a bookstore/coffee shop/bar next door that has live entertainment at night. We did enjoy beverages there. Even though we had seen previous reviews complaining of noise from the bands next door, we never heard a peep in our room. It was nice and clean and quiet. It was great to have a small refrigerator and coffee maker in our room as there is not restaurant or bar at the hotel itself.
