Clayton Hotel Cork City

I’ve stayed in dozens of hotels in cork , and the Clayton comes out top , convenient for city centre and roads leading in and out . And car parking was perfect

The hotel is beautiful and has a fantastic restaurant. The staff are incredible. There is parking below the hotel and they give you a discounted price for parking. The outside area around the hotel has some questionable characters but they’re easy to avoid.

Stayed in a triple room on first floor. Room was very quiet, although view from windows on our side of the building wasn’t great. Room was nicely laid out, spacious, clean and well furnished. There was a fridge, kettle, safe, iron and hairdryer and bottles of water for each guest - replenished daily which was appreciated. Very good breakfast and staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel is well positioned for buses to/from airport. We were attending a concert at Virgin Media Stadium and it was an easy bus ride away/30 min easy walk back. Lots of shops and restaurants within a 10 minute walk and Tequila Jacks right outside the hotel was very good. Only problem we had was that the air conditioning was broken during our visit. I don’t imagine there’s too much call for aircon in Cork in June but this was a particularly hot/sunny weekend and the room was very hot without it. Otherwise very pleased with our choice!

Nice hotel. We arrived very early after flying over night. We paid extra for early checking (12:00pm). Staff at the desk were great. They let us check in 6:30am. It allowed us to get some sleep and enjoy Dublin in the afternoon. Busy hotel with lots of business travelers.

Wonderful stay from arrival to departure. Comfortable room, great beds and shower, super quiet. Breakfast was faultless and even has a proper gym not the usual 1 room conversion. Staff were all lovely and parking directly under reception. Will always be my forst choice when in Cork

Easy parking and access

Ideal location in the city centre with discounted parking in the underground car park. (Must validate your ticket at the hotel reception). Rooms were adequate and cleaned to a high standard. Good choice of breakfast and there is a hotel bar and restaurant and in house coffee shop. All friendly and helpful staff and I would stay here again.

Nice place for business travel but went on holiday with the family and was ok. Amenities were over stated. Yes it has a pool and fitness center but they are part of a paid membership club. The pool was really for swimming laps and was always occupied with people doing just that. Same with the fitness center, it seemed like you were intruding on member’s workouts. Also the staff was not accommodating. After realizing the hotel wasn’t a good fit, I asked if I could cancel my 2nd night and got the corporate answer that cancelations must be made 24-hours in advance and I missed the deadline by 1-hour.
