Overview

The Imperial Hotel in Cork is a beautiful, classic hotel in a central location, within easy walking distance of shops, restaurants and bars. Guests consistently praise the friendly and helpful staff, and the comfortable, well-appointed rooms. However, parking is a common point of discussion, with the off-site car park requiring a short walk, which some guests found inconvenient. The hotel's older building and central location can also lead to some noise at night.

Don’t get cat fished by the pictures. This place is old which is cool but it is way over priced and beat. We stayed at some high end very old hotels in Ireland and this one sucked. Don’t pay over $150 for this place. FYI The parking is about an 8 minute walk away. Around 3 to 4 NYC blocks away.

It’s a nice hotel with good onsite dining. Just know the hotel is in a busy urban area and the parking garage is blocks away and it’s hard to get a spot out front for unloading.

Decent hotel located in the middle of a busy pub and shopping area. A/C in the rooms was terrible, warm all night. Parking is a joke, need two tickets, which the front desk does not tell you and the parking garage is located a 15 minute walk away. Luckily the garage security guard was very nice ans said the hotel does this all the time, he let us out without the 2nd ticket.

Nice hotel, very clean, staff very friendly. Only a couple of issues we were not happy with, $17.50 to park in their in building parking garage per night and the A/C in the rooms was basically non-existent.

Imperial is a stunning hotel. The rooms were clean and comfy and staff were super friendly and helpful. Only downside is parking is a 5 minute walk away so be mindful of this. There is a small spot to unload right outside the hotel but it’s often occupied by other guests checking in. Fantastic location, close to all the main stores and restaurants.

Old city hotel. Pretty architecture. As such, parking was tough, and no valet (at least at the time we checked in) Garage was a long distance from hotel. But we should have checked that out ourselves. Old world charm was great just tough with large luggage!

Good location but parking isn’t great and valet parking was apparently available but not offered.

We enjoyed our one night at the Imperial while traveling through Cork! Although the hotel itself is older, it's maintained well and the room itself was gorgeous. We liked how close it was to tons of dining and shopping options -- so once we parked the car, we just walked everywhere. Went to a sushi place for dinner and walked to the English Market in the morning for breakfast before heading off to Blarney Castle (only 25 mins away).
