R Hotel Kingston

It was a decent experience. Didn’t like that the key controlled the light so if 1 person has to leave the room then that was an inconvenience. The parking was tight and drive way to the parking lot can only accommodate midsize or smaller vehicles. The breakfast was good, needs more no pork options. The sheets were not comfortable felt too rough, the pillows were tough like rock, the bed squeaked every move made. Rooms were modern, could use little bit more pictures or a little greenery. I loved the kitchenette feature that way we did not have to use the bathroom sink for everything. I would come back if I don’t find any better options next time staying in Kingston.

I love the service and the cleanliness but the parking area was narrow and small. I could also hear noises next door to the room

Central location, safe parking and good food.

The hotel was clean and parking wasn’t a problem. I was disappointed the restaurant only offered breakfast due to refurbish along with the pool and I was only informed after I booked which was deceptive.

Had to be careful while trying to maneuver my way to the parking garage with the small space that I had to drive through but other Then that it was quite convenient and comfortable

Highly recommend if you're traveling to Kingston. Kind and professional staff. They are currently remodeling the pool so some amenities and services may be limited. Fortunately, the property is located near plenty of attractions and restaurants to compensate.

Front desk staff "assisted" in hailing a cab to a local restaurant. Which was supposed to be a 800 JMD ride. After a couple minutes of claiming to contact a local taxi and not receiving a response. She tells me that she can contact thier taxi service that charges in USD. 25 mins later the driver picks us up. Halfway through the ride i overhear her call and tell the driver to charge us $40USD for the ride. To top it off she then says no make it $45 and tell them its because of traffic. ...talk about highway robbery.

I would give them a solid 4/5 rating but in terms of star. I feel like the property is now a nicer 3 star in terms of cleanliness and newness, they fell off a tad I think they got comfortable with their 4 star rating. We’ve stayed here before and truly felt like a year or two ago it was a four star now it’s a three. The pool isn’t functional the room has limited towels the bath leaks and the drains aren’t secure, the drapes were falling off. The food is the location it’s the best in the city if you’re there to visit family or go to an event they have ample parking for their guests the security and staff are great the staff in my opinion is what is keeping this place great. The owners need to step it up a notch with the upkeep start by fixing the pool.

The security deposit is an inconvenience especially if you are just staying for a night. The roof top was lovely and the views were amazing. Rooms are a bit outdated and close to the airport is a plus. Would stay again

Check in was really easy and efficient. The room was very clean and comfortable and the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. Navigating the parking area was a little scary but besides that, I was satisfied with my stay. I’ll definitely be going back.
