I felt like I was extorted from the beginning to end. It wasn’t until another hotel guest spoke up, that I realized the staff was running tricks! First, they don’t have a shuttle; they work with private cabs. The cab driver they assigned overcharged me 4 times. At one point he took us to Devon house (8 minute walk) and charged us $40!! Stay far away from Pierre or your bill will be 3x the amount. Second, I paid $800 for a conference room. This is 2x higher than any conference room in Montego Bay for a party of 4. Third, the hotel restaurants purposely hiked up the currency. For example, I was charged $30-$40 higher in USD at Strings and Stones. Never pay in your currency! That’s how they rob you. My overall opinion: the hotel is beautiful and the service staff are amazing. But once you get to the administrative staff and the actually costs, your being extorted! I felt terrible once someone else pointed out the staff and the cab driver was taking advantage of me. Take your money and go to Montego Bay; even if it’s for business purposes. You will have more fun and have better conference rooms plus beach access. I never leave reviews but I would hate for someone to feel as used as I do.

Spanish court was convenient having landed late in to Kingston airport prior exploring the island. Staff on arrival were pleasant and the pool was refreshing. Communication via email with the hotel could be better - slow and not helpful.

I needed a cup of apple juice for my grand daughter. Was shocked at the exorbitant cost I had to pay. Most luxury hotels would have offered such on a complimentary basis. My family and friends have stayed exclusively at the Spanish Court for the past 8 years whenever we are in Kingston. The horrible feeling of being “ripped” off and taken for granted is enough to make us consider other options when next we travel to Jamaica.

The staff was extremely helpful and accommodating as our flight arrived early and we were able to leave our luggage and was welcomed to have breakfast while waiting for our room. The food was excellent with a variety of Jamaican specialties available each morning. The environment was well maintained and clean. Overall good experience and would highly recommend and return in the future.

It’s a modern, clean and intimate hotel with friendly staff, who are kind and will help you organise your plans. They’ll book taxis, suggest places to visit and help you with bookings etc. It’s a place you can invite family to celebrate a special occasion like a birthday. Mrs. Chin (GM) is a lovely lady along with her team Moya and reception. All staff go that extra mile, especially the cleaners. Your in a safe place and secure as a lone female traveller, I felt all my needs were met. A fantastic base for remote working too. I’m coming back!

Warm greeting at check. I arrived early with the knowledge that the room may not be available however this was still the case at 15:15 After an unsatisfactory update from reception, the matter was escalated and dealt with by the manager who gave a complimentary room upgrade and twin massages. Despite the upgrade the room seemed smaller and less impressive than rooms that I have previously occupied as a solo guest. However bed was very comfortable which was needed after a nine hour transatlantic flight the previous day. Good amenities in the room and bathroom, however faulty coffee maker. The pool area is well appointed with numerous cabanas and the bar on the top floor an excellent area to meet and socialise with friends and family. As always, breakfast was on point with a great selection of options and an omelette station. Not sure whether my love affair with Spanish Court is fading as although it is centrally located with great facilities, something seemed a little 'off', which is a shame as I've been staying here every few years since it opened and have previously been very happy. Will I come back? Probably, however only if I travel during low season when it's less crowded.

This is my 2nd time staying at the Spanish Court Hotel. It would have been my third had they not been fully booked one time when I wanted to reserve. The authentic Jamaican breakfast is outstanding. I was travelling with a picky eater and there were no complaints. Dinners were delicious as well. The hotel stands out for many reasons—cleanliness, conveniently located, quiet, comfy beds, and great food & drinks to name a few. But, what keeps me coming back is the service. I can't say enough about the staff who are always friendly and helpful. Taneisha, Winston, Nicola, and Akeem, among other servers at the Rojo Restaurant, were incredibly attentive. A big thank you to all. I'm looking forward to my next visit.

This hotel has a wonderful daily breakfast buffet. The restaurant has vegetarian options, which is important to me. It is very comfortable and the staff are great. There are two supermarkets right there, which is also nice. I travel often to Kingston and always stay here.
