Residence Inn by Marriott San Juan Isla Verde

The hotel is located about five minutes from the airport and is close to the parkways making traveling to other parts of PR easy. There are several restaurants in the area where you can go for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The beach is close by too. The staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful. My only complaint is the bathroom in the hotel room. The shower is only covered by half a glass door and it never failed that when showering the water would splash out on the bathmat which would soak up all the water from the shower. So you end up with a soaked floor mat, wet towels, etc. Otherwise, it's a clean, safe hotel to stay in. Would recommend to friends.

The property was beautiful, the restaurant service was great, and food was delicious! The downside was that the parking situation was horrible and we kept having to validate parking tickets or our hotel card wouldn’t open the gate even though parking was paid for. The rooms also have a bit of a damp smell and there was some visible mold in the bathrooms and near some of the vents. Otherwise, everything was good.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. We were comfortable during our five-day stay. Overall, it was pretty clean. The staff we encountered were very polite. The central location of the hotel is a plus. We traveled with a toddler, and the little water park and pool area were a hit. The only downside was a slight musty smell in the room. We noticed that it improved when we turned the AC to a lower temperature. The menu at the hotel restaurant could have more options. This wasn’t a big deal, as there are many dining options nearby.

The hotel is clean and kid friendly the pool area is nice and relaxing my kids had a ball! Marisol handles the front desk well she’s polite and extremely informative the hotel restaurant breakfast and burger isn’t too great but my youngest enjoyed the tenders lol the wait time was a bit long for the food and the choices are limited however there are more restaurants within walking distance from the hotel parking for guest should be free but it’s not it’s 19 dollars a day and there should be a better method used for the meal credit that’s charged during your stay someone charged drinks to my room at a time that I wasn’t even in the vicinity and during checkout I had to wait for them to go through tons of receipts from that night to Verify that it wasn’t me who signed for it luckily it was squared away prior to me leaving other than that I enjoyed my stay and would definitely book again and recommend to others!

Great location close to the airport (without the noise) and close to the beach and lots of restaurants. Perfect for a quick getaway!

On the one hand the hotel was well kept and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The check in process was very quick and easy. The bed was comfortable. The room had a nice little kitchen. On the other hand, I was freezing the whole time in the room because the a/c was locked to not go above a certain temperature. I get it’s hot out but the use of a/c was excessive and made it very difficult to relax. We mostly didn’t want to hang out in the room. Even though our family of four was in a king room they did not anticipate we would be needing to use the pull out couch. We assumed the bedding would be in the closet but there was no extra bedding whatsoever so we had to go to the desk to get the bedding. There were no pool towels out—-ever. I managed to get one towel for our whole group on one trip to the pool otherwise we had to dash to the room wet and cold to use our bath towels. The window to set up the room key for parking was a like a mirror so it was very unclear what to do or if anyone was back there. The person who helped me was very friendly but why wouldn’t you have a window where you can see and speak eye to eye with the attendant?

Charge for 40 daily service and$20 daily parking. That is $60 more a day. Disgusting!

Our flight got cancelled so we had to fly out the next day. They didn’t refund the night was weren’t able to make it. Then we get there and step off the elevator and it smells like heavy bug spray. Went into the room there was mold furniture. The couch was stained that’s the kids were supposed to sleep on. They room smelled of mildew. The shower sprays all over the bathroom. We left and came back hoping the smell would be better but it wasn’t. So they changed us and rooms but on the same floor. And it smelled like they sprayed a lot of perfume. The front desk came up and could smell it too, so decided to move us to a different floor. It was better there but the next morning we woke up and there was a roach on the table. The carpets have stains as well. And we had paid in “full” but then we get there and they say there is a $40 a day destination fee. We had no idea about and on the original booking we had paid a $280 destination fee. Met another couple in the elevator and they said they had to change floors and rooms because of the smell as well. Would not recommend to anyone. A major let down.

We absolutely love everything about this property! It's conveniently located about 5 minutes from the airport, about a 5 minute walk to the grocery store, the beach and many nearby restaurants. There is a beautiful lap pool and also, an area for the kids to enjoy pool time. There are restaurants on-site, Soga with a bar and Sobao, in case you don't feel like leaving the hotel. The room was beautifully decorated and the bed was extremely comfortable which was really nice after a long flight. And ALL the hotel staff that we spoke to were very nice, friendly and professional. We will be visiting PR in a few months and plan to stay at this hotel again.
