The Royal Sonesta San Juan

It was best experience, I been there with my family, I very recommend this hotel if you have a kids, I was feeling safe, room was clean, thanks cleaning crew), they are making clean up every day. Also, easy access to beach, 10 min from airport. Pool was amazing, I never see the pool like this before, very comfortable for kids

This property is big but not overwhelming, I didn’t rent a car, took a taxi to Pinones, La placita, Tmobile district n Old San Juan, it was either 20 or 25 each way. Not bad if you splitting it with a group. Food and drinks at the resort are good and affordable. Staff is friendly and helpful. My only concern the pool area is very slippery and my mom fell. Will return depending on how they resolve the issue with the fall. Overall good experience.

Property was clean and close location to the airport and other areas. Rooms were clean and maintained quickly. Restaurants are a bit pricey but good food.

Very clean and amazing views. I chose Ocean view. From there, you can also see the pool. The only downfall was parking. If you do valet, it’s about $32 a day. If you want to save some money, have to park across the road to pay $25 a day. Overall, the hotel is extremely clean, staff is amazing and very friendly. They open the doors for you. Very kind. Everyone is bilingual, They speak Spanish and English too.

I had to book the Royal Sonesta minutes after landing in Puerto Rico because the place I initially booked didn’t have electricity. The Royal Sonesta was clean, beautiful and the staff members were very nice. The restaurant food and staff were also very good. The only downsides are that you have to pay for parking daily (no free parking option) and if you’re there on a weekend, their might be a wait trying to go up and down the elevators. Overall, I would recommend it.

Very luxurious resort/hotel The pool area with the ocean access was AMAZING. Lots of areas where walking was convenient. One thing I disliked was the no parking accommodations.

I stayed at this property several times when it was an Intercontinental. This was my first time staying since it changed to a Royal Sonesta. It was just as good and did not disappoint. The hotel and grounds are beautiful. The beach was beautiful and never an issue getting chairs. We only sat at the pool one afternoon when it was too windy on the beach. Food and drinks served on the beach were good and convenient. Outside bar by the lobby was really nice and enjoyable. The only negative was the lobby bar which was extremely loud and noisy. Even if you weren’t going to the bar, the sound when you walked into or through the lobby was tremendous. It’s poorly situated based on the acoustics of the lobby. Proximity to the airport (approx 10 min) is great! Situated in such a way that you don’t see or hear planes flying over, but easy to get to the airport when it’s time to leave.

The stay overall was pretty good. We loved how close it was to the airport and to local eating spots. It also wasn’t too far from Old San Juan like a 10-15 minute drive. The only thing I didn’t like was I was still charged for a night that we didn’t use due to airport delays.

The property is located in a very nice area. Easy access from the airport. The access to the beach from the property makes it very convenient. The pool area is fantastic. There are great dining options in the facilities and you can find good restaurant options nearby. The staff is very attentive and helpful. My wife and I had a great stay in this hotel.

The property is great (loved the swim-up pool bar) and conveniently located close to the airport. We enjoyed the Ruth's Chris Steakhouse that is on property.
