La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Dallas Love Field

It was a short night before an early flight and our neighbors proceeded to slam their door about 40 times and talk loudly in the hallway all throughout the night. Not really the fault of the hotel, but it made for a rough night. The hotel is dated and could use some sprucing up. There seemed to be a smoke smell all throughout the place (maybe from the lady who was smoking the devil’s lettuce outside the front entrance??) Overall, not the best experience.

Everything was great service wise from the airport shuttle to pick me up from airport to the shuttle to take me back and service from front desk was always great. The only thing was trouble sleeping with all the door slams throughout the night. But I do put that on the other guests and not the Hotel.

Overall, I had an enjoyable stay for a week long trip in what they call a family suite. I’m not sure that it would really accommodate a “family” but I certainly enjoyed having the extra space. The gym and pool were well maintained. Breakfast, served daily, included a spread of hot and cold options. Coffee and tea is available all day. The airport shuttle needs to scheduled and does run regularly. The bathroom tub could probably be reglazed, but the suite was clean. Every staff member I encountered offered premium service—especially Chahze. This includes: front desk, housekeeping, and maintenance. There aren’t really any establishments to walk to, but deliveries can be made in minutes. My only complaint is the loitering in the rear parking lot at night, which is shared with a different hotel. ( hard to determine where guests actually belonged) However, no safety concerns presented.

Everything was good, with the exception of two things. There was an odor (similar to a wet dog) permeating the room and it hit you like a wave upon entering. The other was a moldy microwave. We mentioned this to the housekeeping staff and even showed it to them, they acknowledged it, but didn't offer to clean it or a replacement. The weather was great for us to enjoy the pool but the outdoor restrooms was in need of a good cleaning. Luckily, there's a restroom as soon as you walk in from the rear entrance. The customer service is good and so is the breakfast. This location has been a go-to when we travel to Dallas, but we left a bit disappointed after this last visit.

Great location, quiet and quick drive to airport.

On Expedia they advertise having free shuttle to Dallas Love Field airport but they didn’t have this for my arrival as they end the shuttle service by noon. Also I arrived 1 hour early and couldn’t do an early check in, which felt like there were empty clean rooms but deliberately made us wait an hour to give a room. So overall check in experience was not great, but for 1 night it was worth the price.

We enjoyed our brief stay prior to our flight. The bed was incredibly comfortable!

It was an easy layover.
