Overview

The Drury Inn & Suites Dayton North is praised for its excellent guest services and friendly, helpful staff. Many guests highlight the well-maintained property, the generous hot breakfast spread, and the complimentary evening food and drinks. The indoor/outdoor pool is a particular hit with families, and the hotel's convenient location near restaurants and shops is also appreciated. However, some guests have noted that the hotel's handicap parking is some distance from the entrance and there have been reports of issues with blanket availability. Would have been totally fantastic except for 2 things. First, there is no handicap marking at front of hotel and as a disabled veteran it was horrible getting from vehicle in main parking lot with dogs and bags to hotel. I would think it would be State mandated to have handicapped parking spaces. Second, charged $50 for dog. Yet, stayed at other Drury Inns and was not charged. $50 is ridiculous by itself.

The only bad thing I have to say is the handicap parking was a bit of a distance from the front door

We generally love staying at Drury Inns, and this was no different. Outstanding guest services, friendly and helpful staff, well kept property, and a hot breakfast spread (we didn't check-in in time for the normal Drury happy-hour amenities, but if it is like the other Drury Inns we've used, I am sure it was great too. If the breakfast offered isn't your speed, there is a Panera Bread literally next door sharing the same parking lot, and several food options very close by.

This location is right off of the highway. The building is very nice. Large open spaces. The indoor/outdoor pool is a huge hit with our family. The free breakfast and afternoon break (dinner time) are very helpful when traveling with family. There are also plenty of restaurants nearby, some within walking distance if you are able. Scene 75 is an indoor arcade, just a mile away for the kids, it made our grandchildren extremely happy! This location is pet friendly, so there were several large dogs in the hotel. All seemed very sweet and friendly. The few staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. The lady that set up the afternoon break (food area), worked very hard to make sure everything was clean and filled. The bathroom in our room was a bit cramped, being set up at an angle, it’s odd, just our thoughts on that part.

This was our first time staying at a Drury Inn - but definitely not our last. There was a soccer and baseball tournament in the area, so the place was packed with families. The staff kept the breakfast buffet and the dinner buffet fully stocked with a variety of delicious choices. The three complimentary drinks (beer, wine, cocktail) were professionally prepared by a sweet bartender. With that many families the pool was crowded - which we anticipated, but the staff continued to be patient and kind to everyone. The inside/outside pool was awesome- a little small on both sides but very nice. The rooms were clean and bed was comfy. There are many restaurant options - many within walking distance (Mexican restaurant was amazing) - along with other cute shops, gas stations, and even a Wal Mart. We realized when we got home we'd left three hanging shirts in the closet - they shipped those to us. Overall a great experience and we will definitely look for a Drury Inn on our our future travels.

No snow removal parking lot was a mess, which made front lobby a mess. Called front desk from room for extra blankets, no answer. When I went down and asked they don't have extra blankets. Pool & exercise areas are extremely small for such a large hotel and kids were unsupervised running all over. There are a lot of extra tax expense added to bill beware.
