There was hair in the towels and bedding that wasn’t mine. The shower floor was very dirty. The carpet in the hallway specifically by my room was littered with crumbs and when I entered the lobby to check in, there was a swarm of like 5 flys clustered in the entryway making me walk out of the way to get to the desk to avoid walking through them.

Fantastic hotel! I originally booked a hotel elsewhere for the night before my flight back home. However, that hotel had cockroaches and I ran the hell out of there! I booked a room at The Cove last minute, it was close by, I spent a little more compared to the first hotel, but WOW was it worth the price! The moment I walked in I literally thought WOW! So much natural light coming in, the lobby was beautifully decorated, the staff was so friendly. I felt so much better coming here after my awful experience at the first hotel. Check-in was fast & easy, my room was gorgeous, and I honestly wanted to stay longer than one night. My sister and I travelled to California for the X Games, so this stay was our last night before returning home. We originally wanted to check in and then head out skating, but the hotel was too beautiful to even leave. We decided to hang out by the pool, play some games, and hit up the bar. The bartender working that night was hella cool, we had a good conversation with him, he provided great service. The pool area was very clean, plenty of lounge chairs, and the cabanas were a plus! Overall, this hotel was amazing, I forgot all about my awful experience from earlier. I will keep The Cove on my list of hotels to stay at!

I love all the colors and simple pleasures to make my stay more comfortable. There is an outdoor fire pit and some fun enlarged games for all to enjoy. The parking is easy and the entrance gates are only accessible with a room key.

Overall, I’d rate our stay here - average. The room was clean but the smell of cleaning chemicals was overwhelming, nauseating even. The walls are paper thin, and you can hear your neighbor’s conversations clear as day. The area surrounding the hotel was a little scary. I was afraid to leave our car in the parking lot overnight. I would not stay here again.

Everything at the hotel was very nice. The area itself is pretty sketchy but the parking lot, etc was secure and I didn’t feel unsafe.

Staff is very friendly. Pictures never show the outside of the property. Inside is very clean and nice. The outside is completely different. Not a safe area. A bum aggressively knocked on my window while I was parking. I will say, I called and a staff member came out to escort me in. Not safe if you need to return to the hotel in the evening. Could not believe the outside of the hotel was so terrible. Very disappointed and I was stuck with a 2 night stay.

We were looking to stay near Long Beach convention center but not spend the big bucks. This was the perfect spot. Neighborhood a bit drab but hotel was nice. Seems most of the property is upgraded. A few areas still not up to date but lobby, courtyard and our room was nice. Staff was very pleasant! Front desk and sweet lady that worked in the cafe. Couple things I’d want. Outlet near mirror in the room. Two girls getting ready need more outlets. Also. The whole pay for parking at a hotel. I just feel it’s ridiculous. I’d stay here again if in town.
