We stayed in the Windmill room. You really wouldnt know what room you were in besides the 4 pictures on the wall. Room and hotel was clean, beds were comfy. Only oomplaint was that got really warm in the room and the older windows lead to hearing all traffic all night like you were on street level. We ate at the Hotel restaurant and the service was good. Steak was far from great for the price but appetizers were good. We wanted to try coffee the two mornings but was told that it was not in the hotel and it was across the street which was a little miss leading so we traveled to J&B and had great service there. Overall, it was not a bad stay but it was not exactly what we were expecting. Not sure we would go out of the way to stay again. Still down town so you dont want to be walking around late and even in the morning, there was a skeetchy giy walking around and jumping the rails so be prepared like you would in any other downtown area. No close security around or police, not that its expected but little awkward downtown area and thinking you would walk a couple of blocks to a couple cool restaurants which there are a few really close that are worth checking out. Check-in was a breeze and they seemed great. Looks like they are trying their best but just a few issues if you want to feel safe. Would still be nice to have staff on site.

Appreciated the “extras” provided in the bathroom. Given that there is no support on site, I’m sure they will prove to be useful to some travelers. Enjoyed the restaurant, brewery and especially the live music!

Second time staying here and the room was clean and the beds are really comfortable. The service in the brewery downstairs wasn't too good. The hotel should monitor the hotel guest parking which was being used by restaurant patrons eventhough it is posted for hotel guests only. We know this because when the restaurant closed cars left. We had to find street parking until spots opened up late at night, very annoying.

Loved the history of the building. It is clean, large bathroom, great parking, and perfect location to visit our daughter at TTU.

Wow! My husband & I stayed here on a whim & it didn’t disappoint. The suite we had was beautiful. Separate living area with wet bar, big bathroom & an awesome bed. Location in downtown Lubbock was awesome, and parking was a breeze, even on a game day! Check in was effortless, once we had the codes to the doors, we just went in, no going to the front desk or anything. We will definitely stay here again!

I really like the place the only bad things were street parking was a little weird and the fact that there wasn’t somewhere in my hotel room so that I can work no desk for me to set up my computer

This is the most Covid friendly place. There is no staff, no one in sight. You get a code to entry the front door, another code for your room. You checkout on your iPhone. Never saw another guest or staff. One great winery restaurant nearby - really nice and reasonable. Had the 5 flight tastings with dinner for $12. We would stay here again. Quiet, clean, but no people.
