Suburban Studios Melbourne Airport

I am very disappointed that Expedia would represent such a low class accommodation. Room 134 which was originally assigned was grossly filthy, dirty curtains, gross smell in the room, crude along the baseboard, rusted vent in the bathoom, etc etc. I went to the front desk to request a refund she advised that she would not because it was booked by Expedia. Then requested a $100 deposit taken directly from the credit card and stated it may be refunded only after the cleaners cleaned the room after we left the hotel. We were moved to room 243 which was not much better except for the smell. Bathroom door was peeling at the bottom, dirt around the baseboard, crud in each corner, etc. I request a full refund for the hardship this has caused my room mate and I. I would never recommend this location to anyone and I will give this hotel a big 0 rating. I have numerous photos which I can upload if required. A prompt refund and response is requested. Very vey disappointing. Since we could not get a refund we HAD to remain in the location.......we could not remove our shoes in the room due to the filthy look of the carpet, etc . The worst hotel experience of my life so far...and by far. And I do travel plenty.

I booked a room including breakfast, when I checked in I was told that breakfast was not available, tea and coffee in the room would be a good addition, I arrived after a nine hour flight from Scotland, don’t know the area and did not want to go out. Luckily I have some water with me which will do till the morming

prefect for a one night stop over close to airport, 10 min drive to bars and restaurant

perfect for one night stay, close to the airport, bars and restaurants etc within a 5 minute drive. The rooms are large with kitchen facilities, a little tired looking but linen and towels were very clean, brilliantly white and soft. Did notice new carpets ready to be fitted, so improvements going on, staff friendly and welcoming. Would stay again

filthy commo areas,homeless people hanging around in the parking areas, very unsafe will not recommend staying here to anybody.

No grab and go breakfast, facilities for coffee but no coffee or tea available after a long flight I expected to be able to have a drink in the room and have complementary tea or coffee in the room. No services available to buy a hot drink Hotel was clean but dated

This hotel is very close to the airport and right next door to the pricier Hilton. If you need a cheap and easy options it could suit you. However, the rooms have seen better days. Sound proofing is minimal so we could hear people walking about in the room above us and also the freight railroad which continues to run overnight. The air con units are very noisy so you have to choose between that and getting rather hot at night, The kitchens are handy if you want to cook on stove or microwave with a full size fridge freezer.

I was looking for a decent place to stay for a few days while I was traveling and it suited the purpose just fine. Some of the furniture was pretty run down, and the carpet was wrinkled. Some of the staff were pleasant, some not. The kitchenette was handy. I would probably recommend it as a place to lay your head but maybe not to vacation.
