It was great! Just what we needed to get a good rest before an early flight out of EWR. The hotel shuttle was a lifesaver!

The Hotel and staff was extremely nice, especially Michele the front desk clerk. She help us with the hotel shuttle and also with train situations into Penn Station. This experience makes me want to try other Doubletree Hotels on my next trip excursions. Hotel lobby excellent, very nice rooms and clean only thing I wish the bathrooms was larger.

Quality horrible in regards to food , Clearly prepared in advance at restaurant. Ordered and served in five minutes, roasted salmon. Besides the bagel, breakfast Was inedible, cold or Luke warm at best for 55$ for 2. Charge practically $30 for parking and I was told to park on the grass. Upgraded to king size with New York City skyline should’ve said train yard view. Would not recommend anybody and I’m a Hilton honors diamond member oh which they wouldn’t allow me to add that to my reservation since I booked it from a different site. Thumbs down all around Hilton you disappointed me.

First room smells like cigarettes, so the front desk provided us another that have a balcony, this building has bad acoustics, so all the noise from the lobby and restaurant transfer to the room.
Great workers, clean but very old building.

I am very disappointed because I generally like Doubletree hotels. The best thing about this one was its adjacency to Newark airport. The checkin process was very slow particularly that we were “digital”. The hotel is old and tired. The person making coffee in the morning was dour, unhelpful, and rude. In essence, the opposite of hospitality

Don’t let them trick you with the renovated lobby. The rooms were so old and dated and our bathroom was disgusting. We took a shower standing on a towel because the tub hadn’t been cleaned. We slept with our clothes on. Close to the airport but you can do better.

I absolutely loved my stay and would stay here again in a heartbeat. Everything was near-perfect. I stayed because I'm an actress and I had an early morning call time in NYC on a Saturday. I'm coming from CT, so that makes things tough. I decided to stay here because of the convenience and good price. I was able to get on Amtrak in New Haven and it took me right to Newark Airport, where I took the Air Train one stop and the hotel shuttle (which runs 24/7) picked me up. No Ubers or extra $$$ needed and super convenient. If I ever have an early morning flight I'm staying here for sure.
The room was beautiful and very clean. It had a "balcony" that overlooked part of the lobby, the restaurant, and the pool (open air design inside). The pool was heated at a great temperature and there was plenty of room (only criticism - chairs and lounges weren't very convenient or comfortable). But very close to the elevators so you're not parading wet through the hotel (I hate that). I would have loved to use the fitness center but I simply ran out of time. It looked great and was open 24/7.
My room was close to a stairwell so it was extremely easy access to go right outside without having to go down the elevator and through the lobby, so I really enjoyed that.
There is a little store and CVS machine where you can buy snacks and needs. I did eat in the hotel restaurant, and while the menu was extremely limited, the food was excellent. (Only criticism: no NA beer/wine or mocktail options.

The worst experience ever, did not feel welcomed, I came to bring my family for the first time to NJ and NY and I figured since it’s close to the airport that the service level would be good, oh was I wrong! The room the ceiling looked like it was falling apart, the room was dirty hair all over the toilet seat. The staff were not welcoming, from the front desk to the grab-and-go area. The bald guy that was working that area on 8/8 don’t even acknowledge us, we tried speaking with him to order twice eventually we just said what we needed and he finally answered, we though he had problems with speaking till he started flirting with his coworker that came up to the grab-and-go after us. On 8/9 I had to come out looking for towels and toilet paper, on 8/10 I finally got my room cleaned but they left no new towels. And still left trash inside. On 8/10 at night I came out to pick up a door dash for me and my family, as I walked out side a front desk employee that’s dressed in regular clothes with braids was walking towards me I try to stop him to ask him a question he ignored me and kept walking pass me. Overall the experience was horrendous and if I do ever come back to NJ I will never stay here again, I noticed that if your not white or of back decent they don’t treat you right. Not good

Flight delay prompted a layover. Arrived at hotel near 10:30 pm. Long line to check in by that time bar and food services were closed. Room was very clean and inviting. Early flight had us out by 6:30 am and shuttle was convenient and efficiant
