Coral Reef Inn & Suites

Very good price for a place in Alameda. The facility is old, but the room was spacious 2 queen beds, 3 closets, stove, microwave, refrigerator, and a small table for four. Free breakfast, Free parking. I would stay again.

I like staying here. It is not modern or fancy, more simple and funky 80s sheik. Its age is showing, but it makes up for that in clean and peacefulness. It is peaceful and close to the beach. The parking feels safe. It is always clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful. They could do with more kitchenware (pots, silverware, plates and bowls) in the main kitchen to collect and bring to the room. That is a bit hit or miss. But otherwise, everything is just feels good to me. If you are looking for fancy, this ain’t it. But it is comfortable and peaceful and the grounds are well kept.

The room was very spacious and I was excited to stay there. It's steps to the water and across from a million restaurant choices. However the people that stay there had no life skills at all. Fist fights in the parking lots, families letting their gross children run around the halls screaming, as if it were their own home. Domestic abuse, weed smoke everywhere. Could be a gold mine considering the location, if they just had managers to weed the proverbial garden of bottom feeder clientele

This is an old style place with lots of room and quiet. It hasn’t been updated in a good while, so it isn’t fancy, but the beds are good and the place is super clean. The kitchens in the rooms make this already affordable place that much more affordable. The service is good and the parking is safe. I have been staying here for the last two years any time I come to town. For the price, it can’t be beat. And less than a block from Alameda Beach is a super bonus.

It was a quiet location, but that may be because we checked in about 8:00pm and left at 9:00am. I requested to be on the bottom floor of the MAIN building where the office is because my 97-year-old mother was traveling with me and she can't walk very far and she absolutely cannot go upstairs. The clerk I spoke to early on check-in day said she would note it in my file. When I checked in, a different clerk didn't see any notes in the file. At first he was going to charge me an extra $30!?!? When I refused and said the earlier clerk said all he had to do was check the notes as she would see that I got the location I requested! Then he called her, supposedly, and he STILL gave us a room WAAAAAY out in back in a different building, which had a LOT of walking for my mom! We were NOT HAPPY AT ALL!! The neighborhood is NOT SAFE and there are shady people hanging around the area all night long and we did not feel safe. Its VERY SCARY!! It was a HORRIBLE experience!!

Really great location - walking distance to beach and shops. Large spacious rooms, would definitely recommend this hotel for those traveling with families.

Easy parking and grocery nearby

Arrived and room with requested beds were given away. Given a room with fold out couch. Horribly uncomfortable. No blankets or towels. Called office and was told to wait 15 min and could come get them myself. I was told no on the towels. Breakfast was very limited. Everything was very run down. Floors and furniture was dirty. Limited parking and didn’t look safe.

Nice hotel for price value. Staff was very nice, location is close to the beach, parking is available, Free WiFi and it’s safe. Only contra is that the breakfast was every day the same. Overall I would recommend it
