SpringHill Suites by Marriott Oakland Airport

Hotel was great. Location not so much. Don’t feel super safe and nowhere to go nearby. But we wanted to be close to the airport, which this hotel was so in that sense, it was great.

This hotel was so clean. The room was huge and either new or newly renovated. We will definitely stay here again when we fly out of Oakland.

Friendly staff, good size room, clean, comfortable. We enjoyed a nice salad in the evening at their bar/restaurant. Free breakfast in the morning before departing wasn't so great (cold and greasy for the most part) but found yogurt and fruit which was nice. Easy access to and from the airport as well as rental returns. Would recommend.

This is a great property to stay at right next to the Oakland international airport, 3mins drive. They offer a shuttle 24/7. I arrived on a Friday night. Easy quick check-in and very friendly staff. The whole area inside and out was clean, exactly like photos. Parking area was safe and well lit.

The staff was so kind and the front desk was so helpful. The breakfast was great and had good to go options which was great to grab and go to the airport.

Huge homeless encampment near by. We were concerned with safety parking our car and did not leave the property but to go to the airport because of it. A security guard would be a welcome addition or gated parking lot would improve the feeling of safety. Nice restaurant bar area so our needs were met with in the facility.

Super close to the airport and nicer/newer than we expected. Overall nice room for the price & location.

The hotel staff was amazing. How ever the parking security they use is horrible, they blocked the whole parking lot off and we moved the gate to park only to have security come as us and tell us to leave the property, and no matter how many times I explained we are paying guests he refused to listen and threatened to call police over and over and became aggressive walking towards me and my child my husband was Not ok with that. Security went into hotel lobby and spoke with hotel staff which caused an embarrassing scene but hotel staff was amazing to me and my family ( children) and walked outside to view that the whole parking lot was blocked and tried to make sense of what security pulled. I will be calling corporate and hope to resolve this issue as this stay was awful, but again the hotel and staff we kind and very professional during this.

Very rough area near the hotel. Glass in all of the parking lots from smash and grab burglaries. Probably normal for Oakland though.
