Staybridge Suites Rochester University, an IHG Hotel

Visited with my family. The location was clean & staff members were nice. Very close to the airport..

Great, clean place to stay. Close to Strong Hospital and airport. Nice linens, very good breakfast included in price.

Clean room Fitness center is small but well maintained Easy parking and a 15 min drive to Convention center, blue cross arena, RIT and U ROC Decent breakfast- coffee wasn’t great and there is no ice machine But that would not stop me from staying here again.

The property was very nice. The staff was excellent concerning the interior of the facility. We were approached by homeless people in the parking lot asking for money and there did not appear to be any hotel security. The staff said all they could do was call the police. It appeared that they were aware of the issue but for some reason wouldn’t hire security.

Easy parking, clean rooms, great breakfast

We traveled with our dog and it was great that the room had a refrigerator where we kept our cooked food portions for our dog.

There was a social from 5:30-7:00 M,T, W nights. Beer, wine and apps served. We met some really nice professionals staying there as they travelled. The property is right on the river and bike trails to the erie canal trailway system. Excellent for cyclists. Not really walking distance to restaurants and bars. All clean except elevator needs a bit of an overhaul. The pool facilities were closed when we were there and the dryers were not working in the guest laundry.

This is a relatively new hotel in an area that is trying to clean itself up. I lived in that area for decades and would walk through "Staybridge" to go to the public pool with my cousins back when it was an empty lot. Subsequently, trust me when I tell you, the area is rough. I wouldn't recommend going for a late night stroll, and definitely make certain your vehicle is locked (which it should be anyways, it's not the 1920s anymore). WIth that one word of caution, I pretty highly recommend Staybridge. The staff is generally helpful to very helpful. The location CAN'T be beat for anyone attending events on UofR campus. Same for Genesee Park and Strong Memeorial Hospital. It's even more than reasonably close to my alma mater RIT (go tigers!) although there are closer. Same with the airport and Henrietta (shopping district-ish). End of day, the clearest way I can put it is this is the preferred hotel when I take My Family to see my family. But they don't go walking after dark.
