Candlewood Suites San Antonio Airport, an IHG Hotel

The staff are absolutely amazing, so accomodating and just generally kind. You really don’t find this in many places. I felt safe and comfortable here! Shuttle to and from airport, amazing. Little kitchen, so helpful. Bed, really comfy. Recliner chair, unexpected and loved! Pool was small but so nice! Washer and dryer is free for guest you just need you detergent. Staff, hands down the best! My flight to Australia was going to be later in the day, they allowed me a late check out, even when my flight was delayed yet again.

It would be nice if when I ask for a wake up call. The front desk actually calls! This is not the first time I’ve asked on one other occasion and something no wake up call. I almost missed my flight thank you

I PREPAID 2 months in advance 2 king suites. Check in was at 3pm which we arrived at such time. Fist i was told the rooms were not ready and it would be "a few minutes more". After waiting 30 minutes when my daughter asked the front desk attendant how much longer it would be she was told "not anytime soon". I then approach the front dest to ask what was the hild up i was told the property actually only has 1 king suite and that Expedia apparently double booked the room so they actually sold me the room twice. The one king suite they had someone stayed the night before and had "decided to stay another night". But how is that allowed when i had PREPAID the room well in advance???? I had traveled for 5 hours with 5 small grandkids who were hot, tired and frustrated at this point. I told the guy to find me a room which we ended up with a standard queen room and a queen suite and was not offered a lower rate for the inconvenience. Again i PREPAID 2 king suites! Stayed 2 nights on Sunday check-out time was at 11am we were taking our belongings to our car at 10:15am and the cleaning ladies werealready in the room cleaning it out and we were not even done getting our things out! Will not stay here again!

It was fine for catching an early flight. Could use a face lift, could be a bit quieter.

We arrived at the hotel just after 2 am. We booked a room for two people. My daughter did end up traveling with us, as we were there for my husband’s father’s funeral. I asked the front desk clerk if we could upgrade our room. He advised that there were full. As we were getting ready to leave, my husband said he would stay somewhere else so my daughter and I could have the room. The clerk then advised the he was refusing to check us in, because my husband would sneak back into the hotel. This was not attempted by us in anyway. Had he checked us in, then if we tried this, I could understand them then asking us to leave. So I then requested a refund sense he was refusing service and he told me no, we would still have to pay for the two nights. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone! If you want the best service go to the Doubletree by Hilton San Antonio. They are willing to go above and beyond to help you!

Clean, close to the airport, great room!

This is not a vacation hotel. It was clean and the beds were comfortable but it is worn and and slightly shabby. Dented refrigerator, drawers that don't stay shut, worn carpet, scratched furniture. Fine for a business person that needs a place with a kitchenette and a desk near the airport. Nothing nearby you could walk to for food or entertainment. When I realized my mistake booking this hotel I tried to shorten my 5 day reservation but was told because I booked through Expedia I would not be refunded any of the money I already paid. My error but I will read reviews much more carefully.

Advertised for airport transportation but does not mention that it is not 24/7. No luggage carts and staff was sassy
