DoubleTree by Hilton Orange County Airport

We planned a quick family trip for our daughter's birthday and wanted a centrally located place to stay from LA, the OC Fair and near the beach. What a pleasant surprise! Our hotel was tucked neatly in the high-rise section of the Santa Ana/Orange County Airport area, just off the 55 Freeway. This Hilton Doubletree branded location was a gem of a find. Check-in was quick and trouble-free; the staff was friendly and easy to approach. Best of all our suite was clean and perfect for the 3 or us. A small convenient store was just a 5-minute walk around a quaint man-made water feature with resident ducks and turtles which kept daughter captivated on evening walks. Our only negative was the daily parking fee - completely uncalled for (felt a bit like Vegas gouging) BUT, we will definitely stay again, even with the parking fees.

Misleading advertising. “No passions fees” advertising I had to pay $24 a night for parking. Had to ask several times to clean my room.

This hotel exceeded my expectations. The pictures online didn’t quite look the same to me however the service was spectacular, the area is safe, and the pool was great. You do have to pay for parking $24 a night. The bed was very comfortable, and the water was hot. I booked this for the OC HOAG marathon and lots of runners stayed here, it was a very pleasant and quiet place. The staff gave us water which was very hospitable. I have no complaints.

It was like a cheap hotel. No amenities. Under staffed to the point that no one answered the phone on several occasions. No one at the front counter much of the time and no bell to ring for service. Customers had to shout out for help at the sign in point.. Paper coffee cups, malfunctioning toilet, water $2, no microwave, same trash in parking area as was the night before, had requested bathtub but no handicap room but didn't have one, no trolleys in reception area. It was even difficult to find the front door to the place. I thought a Hilton would be a nicer hoter. This must be the bottom of their line.

I didn't like that we had to pay for parking and there wasn't a security guard. Other than that its a very nice hotel.

Rude staff. Broken restroom door. Drenched carpet by AC unit leftover trash from previous guest. Shady people in the lobby. Tiny $24 a night parking spots. They leave you water bottle in the room but they aren’t free. No drinking water or ice machine on site. Prison is better.

I don't like that I have to pay for parking and there aren't enough parking spots at night.

Close to airport, nice area, Starbucks and convenience stores nearby. Free shuttle to and from airport.
