Extended Stay America Suites Wilmington New Centre Drive

I really just needed a room to sleep after a flight cancellation due to weather. I got there late and was leaving early so I didn’t want to spend a lot. I wanted to take a shower but felt like I’d be dirtier if I did. The shower looked disgusting. The toilet had a dirty ring at the water line, and the sink was dirty. The carpet was filthy. The tile area was sticky. None of the lamps worked. I normally would have asked to change rooms but it was so late and I had to catch a 7am flight so I needed to be up pretty early. Fortunately the bed looked clean. But it was absolutely not worth the almost $100 I spent for a gross room. I would never stay here again. It was room 233 on 5/8-5/9.

Unfortunately, the place was run down and dirty. The floor lobbies were unvacuumed, and fingerprints were all over the elevator. Inside the room, the bathroom and furniture are outdated. Our bathroom had a cracked and chipped toilet. Loud, in an unsafe location, and the neighboring rooms, you could hear people screaming, children crying, etc... Also, people were smoking in the surrounding areas, and at one point early in the morning, smoke was in the room. The breakfast is a joke and consists of a bag placed on a small counter across from the check-in desk near the door, and the coffee is mon nonexistent after hours of service are done. Outside of the hotel property, there are numerous people who appeared to be hotel customers and their possible guests loitering: smoking, drinking, and using obscene language. Stay away, especially family and single women traveling.

The staff was very professional and extremely accommodating. However, the room had an unwelcome visitor named Disgusting Cockroach. The room reeked of cheap mans body spray & cigarettes. Oh and then there was the issue of the sketchy guests that were lurking in the parking lot. I was terrified going to my car because of the people drinking in the parking lot or guys that harassed me for date.
