The room was fine but I tried to open the window shade but it was a sliding glass door and steps from the parking lot. The door was not locked and I tried to lock it but the lock was broken so I had to change the room which was immediately corrected.

Easy parking and close proximity to UNCW. Needed umbrella at pool and sheets had some stains. Staff were polite and not sure if some of the issues are out of their control.

The building is older but they attempted, successfully, to upgrade the facilities. They shoved nice, spacious furniture into a very small room. There was no soap in one of the pump bottles in the shower so I had to use shampoo. There was evidence of incomplete cleaning in the shower. The desk clerk refused to call us a taxi, twice (once the night before and once in the morning). There is no information given anywhere on how to locate a taxi. Once we found a taxi service, we discovered having an international phone number was a problem, so the hotel staff should have ordered the taxi for us.

Overall cleanliness in the room was good. same in the hallways. The lobby needs some attention, coaches and other furniture looks very dirty and outdated. I traveled with my family, we were 4. Booked a 2 queen beds room. The beds are full at the best, very small for 2 adults. Room was a bit small, it wasn’t too terrible for us because we were there only one night. This is the second time I booked a room at Courtyard hotels and the beds in the room are full instead of queen as advertised. Previous one was in NY. If you’ve teenagers and planning to o stay for more than one night, maybe book somewhere else.
