Best Western Plus Wilmington/Wrightsville Beach

Great hotel when traveling with dogs!

My stay here was good, I traveling for work and it was comfortable and breaksdast was good. Nice location.

Housekeeping was non-existent during our two-day stay. A bug crawled on me during the night while sleeping (needless to say sleeping after that was impossible.) Did not try the included breakfast after that experience, either, although the dining area seemed decent. The surrounding area is rather rundown. We witnessed a man urinating in a public parking lot while out for dinner. Enough said. Would not return nor recommend.

I liked that they allow pets. However, clearly you could tell there were several shady people staying at the hotel. I personally witnessed two, a man and a woman, fighting in the parking lot.

I ran into a delayed flight, and when I arrived I tried to call the properties direct number. No one picked up, in fact it just kept disconnecting. I finally looked up their 800 number and found a very helpful woman who was able to call the hotel and make sure someone was available to check me in at the late late hour I wound up arriving. The person on duty, Laurence, was very considerate when I arrived, and helpful. 5 stars to Laurence. 2 to 3 stars for the mattress in the room I stayed in. Lumpy and uncomfortable is all I can say about the bed. Terrible! Mattress needs to be replaced BADLY. If I wasn't so exhausted from the delays and time I got in, I probably would have asked for another room until I found a room with a good mattress and if not, I would have left this hotel.

The property was very clean with a pleasant scent coming in from the outside. 2 adults and 1 dog. We stayed in a dog friendly room for 5 nights. The room was very clean and had nicely done hard floors. Perfect for traveling with a pet. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Lots of restaurants and shopping within 5 minutes. Wrightsville Beach is 15 minutes away by car. As downtown and the airport. Thanks for a great stay!

Very comfortable stay. Great value for the price. Rooms and lobby are updated and modern. Breakfast was very solid. First floor is for folks traveling with pets, so if you don’t have one with you ask for an upper floor.

For what we paid to stay you would think that the hotel would of cleaned up the several old mattresses that were left in the parking lot. Just discussing to find these when we arrived and what are window view was from our hotel room.
