Narita Gateway Hotel

The hotel was very dated, stained carpets, stained chair. Overall in dire need of a renovation. Would not recomiend to any traveller.

It was inflexible with its bus between the airport and the hotel. I had to come with taxi. I hope it improves next time.

I loved the shuttle ! But I didn’t buy food before arriving they have a store on the property but limited options . No Uber eats go to the hotel and their isn’t good walking distance.

This is an older European style hotel; dated but in a charming way (to me). The bed was firm which I can see being an issue for some, but it was fine for my two night stay. I took advantage of their free shuttle each day; it was right on time every time. While the Senses restaurant was only open for breakfast (which was a very nice selection) I was happy with the options the convenience store inside the hotel had to offer. There isn’t any shopping or restaurants within walking distance, which was fine for me as I wasn’t there for that. I appreciated the quietness of the hotel and I especially liked the koi pond and sitting area they have outside of the restaurant.

The building is old, bathroom is old and the light is so dim that you can't see, air-conditional is not working had to borrow the portable fan for 2 nights stay. The room has smoking smell even though it is a non-smoking room. Found an old slipper under the bed and garbage bin is not empty first check-in. The 2 good points are the free hotel shuttle bus to the biggest Aeon shopping mall (runs limited schedule and full bus) and shuttle bus to the Airport terminals.

The facility was a bit old, and shuttle bus frequency to airport was a bit long. But everything was fine, no a big problem.

The hotel lobby is nice with a convenient store if you check in late. There are no restaurants in walking distance. The shuttle service starts at 525 am so if you have an early flight, you will need to take a taxi. Keisei Narita station is about 15 minutes and cost about 2200 yen. Im not sure about Narita station but the other station was not walking distance. The hotel does provide transportation for free but times are lengthy between pickups. We ended up taking a taxi in the morning to terminal 1 due to an early flight and it was about 2800. The room we stayed at was decent sized but the bed was very firm and uncomfortable. If you are trying to save money, i would spend a little extra on other hotels that are more near the airport. Our room was on sale for 5910 yen. If you pay just 1500 yen more, you can stay at a more convienent hotel such as Tobu.

Stay in because of airport transportation; clean and quiet, but not easy for dinner

Great price per night for simple, basic accom. Accommodating staff. Temp control/ heat in room insufficient. Hot water in shower insufficient. Bus schedule to airport and shopping areas insufficient.
