For a 4 star hotel, building was run down, parking lot was not the best and area surrounding hotel was run down.

The property was in a good location but the staff was rude, not helpful at all, the rooms were very outdated as well as the whole property. The tv barely worked and all of the channels were very low picture quality. It did not feel safe. They charge $15 a day for parking but the garage is old and run down and the key card reader is all smashed up so unusable so anyone can just drive in and park and leave whenever they want. Not worth $15 a day at all especially since there was a nicer garage right across the street charging $2. Everything was self serve which I actually don’t mind but they only had three luggage carts and very slow elevators. We would definitely not stay here again.

The staff at this hotel were very helpful and accommodating. I travel to WV for work, and this will be the only place I stay.

Very convenient to the civic center, they charge extra for parking and breakfast, the room was fine but was hot and never really cooled down.

The heat did not work in the room and countless tries did nothing. Ice maker on floor broken. No room service and restaurant bar didn't open until 4. But when you could find a waiter, they were nice. Breakfast was buffet style and the food, eggs and stuff, was cold. Not good at all. The parking garage key card reader was broken so anyone could have parked there for free but we were charged $15/day. We will never go back there again.

Room was very clean and smelt nice. They offer glass vs paper cups. Water pressure was good and they also have name brand quality hair and body products. Not a fan of the undisclosed $15 parking fee or up charge for breakfast, however we did enjoy the peace and quiet and cleanliness of the hotel. Also has central heat and air. We will return.

Older hotel, being downtown area with that comes a particular smell, pretty normal for an aged hotel. What made me rate this property so low is there was an issue with the door of my room. Again old hotel, the deadbolt was “tricky” according to the staff. After a 6 hour drive my daughter and I walked up to our room with the door ajar. Being women, we didn’t feel safe and went downstairs. I explained to the young lady at the front desk that the lock was broken and the door was open. With zero care for my explanation she said “we have no other king bed rooms” and proceeded to stare at me. I said again “the lock is stuck and the door won’t close” to which she repeated herself with no empathy or understanding that too women didn’t want to go into a room with broken lock. Didn’t offer another room, any other options, nothing. I would have paid for a double bed room or any option without a broken lock. She only offered in a snarky tone to refund my credit card and at almost 9pm, have me try to find something else. I travel all over and I have never, in the 20 years traveling, had someone be so uncaring and rude. The security guard that was somehow maintenance as well, came and fiddled with the lock until it unjammed trying to show us the trick to it. We went in our room, locked everything we could and went to bed to leave as early as the sun came up the next day. I absolutely hated the way we got treated, will obviously never go back.

It was a comfortable stay. It’s situated a bit out from the main downtown area, but the hotel provides shuttle service to take you (and pick you up) to various destinations around the city.
