The rooms are fine, nothing exceptional and nothing to complain about. What you'd expect for oh, $140/night-ish.
Clean and serviceable. However it's not $140 a night, it's $180 a night. Go downstairs for coffee and a Danish for breakfast? Nope. Pay "restaurant", which is a few tables and some high tops tucked away off the lobby. How about parking? Yep, they charge you to park in their parking garage.
Bottom line, I don't have a problem with paying for parking if it's NYC or some very crowded location as space is a premium. This is Charleston, West Virginia. Give me a break. This place would be reasonable priced at $135/night, maybe $160 during peak/desirable dates such as downtown festivals with free parking and continental breakfast included. $180 and and all the extra costs? Not worth it.

They had covered parking garage which was nice. Overall it was as expected. Close to a couple restaurants. Would stay again.

Nice updated hotel, with quick check in. Just bummed my room overlooks a parking deck instead of the river.

The elevator in the lobby was out of commission and the elevator for parking deck was not working properly in that the doors almost slam shut. Our room fridge had a bad motor that kept us up late until we had to unplug it and risk it defrosting all over the carpet. Apparently, ownership is not attempting to make any fast repairs to the property. Staff at the front desk gave us some breakfast vouchers for the noise. Bar and restaurant staff were excellent as well. Overall, an econolodge would be in better shape than this hotel.

Room was clean but furniture saw better days.was charged 12 dollars a day for parking and they automatically took $50 in case i wanted breakfast. (Which i did not)These two things were a HUGE TURN OFF and will affect me choosing this location again.

Nice walkable area (15 min to convention center). Very friendly staff. Convenient on site parking garage. Rooms were average, dirty bed skirts (ick!) few amenities, faulty shower. I'd stay again using a discount but not at full price.

My wife travel back and forth through the southern states yearly. We started staying at this hotel about six years ago because we liked its great location, great staff and outstanding rooms. We’ve never had and problems staying here. The Sheraton in Charleston is a jewel.

I didn't like that there is only 5 or 6 parking spots and since I didn't get one of those spots, I was charged $22.00 to park one night in the parking garage! I won't go back because of the parking.

I always thought it would be the nicest hotel in town; big, central, I was looking forward to the River view.
My husband thought the room was so dirty that he put a sweater over the pillow and refuses to use the bedding not believing they were clean.
Lights were burnt out or broken in the room, and the toilet handle was broken. The shower grout was dirty looking made worse by the one working light that never did get fixed after the handy man came to replace the bulbs.
I was disappointed there wasn’t a guest laundry, and no comp breakfast. For $150 a night, I felt I had to work to make my 9th wedding anniversary special. The cold dirty parking elevator. The room keys that stopped working twice.
I stayed there for less than a day and feel like I paid money to have a bad time.
