Hampton Inn & Suites Lubbock University

Proximity to Texas Tech is convenient, which is why we picked it ultimately in addition to value. Neighborhood wasn't great but parking lot was fenced. We walked into a clean lobby and wish that was the case when we walked in our room. Room had dog hair on the carpet, hair in the shower, and overall not clean. Also front desk staff throughout our stay was more interested in playing on their phone than assisting people. Will not stay again.

We stayed at this hotel for my daughters orientation at Texas Tech. The location of the hotel was convenient to the University, only taking about a 5 minute drive. We were satisfied with the room, however after we arrived back to the room we noticed that the maids had not been through, but then my husband noticed that on the mirror it said that on stays longer than one night the room would be cleaned evey other day. The next day we leave in the morning around 8 and arrive back to the room around 2 in the afternoon and finally called down the the front desk asking to have somebody come clean the room as we were heading back out. They then told us that it was too late for them to send somebody up. We then we requested that some clean towels be brought up to the room which were also never deliver. We were there for 3 nights and the room was never serviced. Very disappointed and will definitely be staying at a different hotel as we travel to Lubbock these next four years

It was a great stay. Check in was easy. Staff were very friendly. Breakfast was fine. It was hot and good. Parking was easy. The parking lot is gated which made me feel fancy and I didn't worry about my car.

Close to the University, friendly staff and nice property. Free gated parking a plus.

Paid for two nights. Arrived late to a locked parking lot. No attendant to address the locked door. Hotel continued to check me in and charge me for the two night even after talking to them twice stating i was not there and couldn't get in. They continued to charge for the second night. No basis to charge me. When they lock out their patrons. Maybe unsafe area??

Everything was great. The site is new, so everything still feels pretty luxurious. I really appreciated the recycling containers, which might seem like a small thing, but when I’m traveling I use a lot more recyclable containers than I like, and so few places (especially in TX) provide recycling.
