Holiday Inn Express Kenner - New Orleans Airport, an IHG Hotel

5 minutes from airport and 2 minutes from mall. Good breakfast. Older building, partially renovated.

Room is set up so uncomfortably. Be careful getying in the shower tub has a crazy slant and causes you to slip. Refrigerator and microwave are in the bathroom (why just why) airport shutyle runs every hr but listen to this you cant get on that hourly scheduled shuttle unless you let the desk clerk know that you need a ride. Question if the shuttle runs every hour anyway why would you not allow customers to board? Just difficult for absolutely no reason at all. If youre on the second floor you have to go to the 1st or 3rd floor for ice. Really lol. Now the bed has heavy bedding thats the only redeeming quality of this place. Michelle Walters- Jackson

Property was very nice to stay at. It was quiet with the exception of the airplanes going overhead, but I kind of like that anyway lol the rooms were very, very nice and clean. parking was easy and free, which is hard to come by in New Orleans. I felt very safe being a female solo traveler. desk staff was nice when I needed them for something, all in all I would definitely go back And stay again at this hotel.

Knowing that parts of New Orleans can be sketchy and high crime, we intentionally selected a hotel near the airport, thinking that would guarantee a higher level of safety. Boy, were we wrong! Had we not already paid for the hotel, we would have gone somewhere else. The surrounding area made us feel a little unsettled, but we figured we would be in the hotel in our room after dark, so we came in while it was still daylight, and parked our car as far away from the entrance as possible. The rest of the hotel was fine. But hard to appreciate because of terrible location.

I had to catch a flight very early so I chose this location and usually have good luck with Hilton's. The staff was great, but upon arriving I had people BBQ and drinking ine the parking lot of the hotel. If I was by myself then I would not certainly feel secure. The hotel is older and thankful for a very short stay.

The housekeeping team were extremely helpful and worked around my schedule. The front desk, especially Tiffany, were all helpful and addressed concerns including getting a quiet room, late arrival and checkout. The location is new -- 2 years old and very convenient for travel and close to seafood restaurants, stores and the airport.

Ok for airport short stay

Do not stay at this hotel. Ever. First, it is an airport hotel, that lists airport transportation as a standard offering. However, when I checked in they told me airport transpo was not available, as their van was broken. Sorry. Well actually I do not think they apologized. They only offered to cancel the reservation if I wanted to go someplace else. No Uber reimbursements. I had two kids with me. Was I going someplace else at 6 pm? Also, in all of this insanity, I forgot to ask for the pack and play that they offer when I checked in. When I called the front desk they said I would have to call housekeeping in the morning to arrange that. I was leaving at 4 am for my flight as it is an airport hotel. So NO pack and play. Can I have a refund and leave I ask? No. Then about 30 minutes later after my kids were bathed and in their PJ's Front Desk person said she called Expedia and that they would allow a refund. HA. The whole stay was a nightmare. Except the front desk person at 4 am was really nice. Don't stay here.
