We arrived the night before an international flight. We had paid for parking effective the following morning. The website said an extra day of valet parking was $35 but we were charged $50. There was an extended delay since 2 parties were apparently assigned to the same room and it took the three people behind the desk to resolve it while others waited to check in. The following morning we were told that the airport shuttle would only take us to Federal Circle and then we would have to take a bus or taxi to the airport. Kudos to the wonderful shuttle driver who attempted to get us as far as terminal 1, but when we arrived he was told that we could only get to terminal 8 via taxi so he graciously drove us to terminal eight.
The construction noise was the icing on the cake. It would have been helpful to know about the construction and the shuttle issues. I recommend that Hotels.com communicate with the property to ensure the correct valet rate is listed on the website.

Very expensive for what you get.
However free shuttle to and from JFK and excellent breakfast, however quite expensive.

The staff were pleasant and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable.
The signage around parking and Valet were not great, I drove round the block 3 times before I could see where valet was located.

Shuttle driver took 45 minutes for pickup. Restaurant one night only offered a buffet. No ala carte. The next night the ala carte menu only offered sandwiches. The breakfast also was ONLY buffet.
At checkout 5:30 am, no shuttle driver. We were told if no driver showed up by 5:40, then we could take the cab that was outside, but the cab was sent away at 5:35. We asked why did you send the cab away. It was now 5 :50 and no shuttle drivers showed up yet. They are supposed to start at 4 am! I said call that cab back! So it was called back and we got in the cab at 5 :55! We were worried we’d miss our flight. Inexcusable service for an airport hotel.
There is very limited lounge area. Just a few chairs and all were always taken. Very bright spotlights lighting up the entire area.
Very austere lobby. No comfort or coziness that I have experienced in so many hotels.
The room had no carpet. Just a cold wood floor. First time in 40 years of hotel experience that I have had a hotel room with no carpet.

the hotel is pricy, but, then, its in NYC. We missed a flight to Delhi at JFK. American Airlines was no help in this. Among the hotels near the airport, at last minute, this was "reasonably" priced. The Breakfast buffet at $26 per person seemed worth missing. The room was comfortable and we slept pretty well in less than placid times for us as we were trying to work out getting a decent new flight on to India. Staff was pleasant enough and seemed competent.

We had an unexpected 12-hour layover from 6 pm to 6 am and decided to stay at an airport hotel. Being extra tired I did not read the reviews. First I would say this is not on airport property, it is in Queens. It is under construction and the area to me seems unsafe. It is also a hotel that is housing immigrants. I did not feel safe. The one positive was that our room was on a renovated floor and not combined with the immigrant area. We got to our room, and it was nice. But the sheet had human hair on it and that was the last straw. Having paid and needing to sleep, we rearranged the bedding, slept a few hours, and then had the hotel call an early morning taxi. The staff was kind and I hope the management gets this place under control. Until then stay somewhere else.

Hotel is under construction so the lobby is a mess and everything is handled manually. We waited on a very long line to check in while people were assisted by filling out manual paperwork for their stay. For the price being paid in the dirty area by JFK Airport with not one store or restaurant or anything nearby, this is entirely overpriced for a sub par airport hotel. The beds were comfortable and sheets were clean but not new. They definitely need to update the bathrooms and linens during the remodel.

Please be aware when booking this property. The lobby is under construction and a real mess. There is also not an acceptable food option there - they have a "temporary" space set up in a ballroom with shaving dishes and very sad looking tables and chairs. I ended up walking two blocks to get to the Marriot for dinner. They didnt inform us of the construction when the property was booked. It was also VERY hard to reach them regarding how to catch the hotel shuttle at JFK. No return emails and 5 calls later I finally reached someone at the hotel - she was harried and borderline rude. Do yourself a favor and book in one of the other immediate hotels until Radison gets its act together.

The only good thing I can say is that the room was nice. Restaurant was under construction which was fine but it would’ve been nice if we were notified of times food was served. First night we were told it was at 5, we went down at 5:15 and was told nope not til 545-6:00 now. Next day went down for breakfast at 9:10 & was told breakfast ended at 9
First night there was a fire alarm, we walked down the 12 flights, no guidance from staff they just watched us go outside. Not to mention area around hotel was less than desirable. We ended up checking out a whole day earlier. Very disappointing. I would’ve spent xtra money to stay at the Marriott

The property is under MAJOR renovation. It's impossible to get to the property and you have to "sneak" in the back area in order to even get to the hotel. There were many people who seemed to be immigrants who are being housed in the property. Only 1 of 3 elevators are in service and it takes a tremendous amount of time to go up or down. Shuttle service was non existent, I was downstairs 5:45AM for 6am shuttle and was told that 6 am had already left and the next one was scheduled for 6:30. I was disgusted at this point and walked to the shuttle exit (street) and contacted Uber who showed up quickly and took me to the JFK terminal. I had stayed at this hotel few years ago, it was fine then. I will not return in the future. Sorry
