Hyatt Regency Long Island

Property is old and needs updating. For a Hyatt Regency, this property had no valet parking or bellhop service. Very limited dining options. A car is required for the property is somewhat out of the way.

1 of 3 elevators needs TLC. No option other than buffet available for breakfast. Need to have staff keep on top of parking lot for garbage. Found large empty bottle of liquor on tree island amongst other things. All else was really nice. Would definitely stay again.

Unfortunately, my flight was impacted by the Technology Outage and was delayed by 12 hours. I could not get to the Hotel and I was charged for the entire stay. It would be really good if I were to get a refund. I understand the hotel policy of no refunds at last minute, but this was an unusual circumstance and I would appreciate a full refund.

The room I stayed in and all other areas of the Hotel i visited were extremely clean. Also it snowed 2x during my stay and the staff did an amazing job keeping the parking lot and walkways clear of snow.

Hotel exceeded my expectations. Service is exceptional. Rooms are spacious and clean. Quiet quiet quiet! Comfy bed and pillows. Luxurious bathroom. Fast elevators. Plenty of free parking. Convenient location.

Please read until the end: From the pictures I wasn’t expecting much. We found an international hotel with nice touches -and lightning properly done too-. Could use some upgrades but it holds very well. The common areas are plenty to allow you to not feel locked down on your bedroom during the stay. Couches on the lobby and general sitting areas are abundant. It has a bar and a restaurant too. The indoor pool was fresh with a decent ambient temperature. The gym was ok. The rooms are proper. Fridge but no microwave. One armchair, one desk with chair, two queen beds that felt more like full. Comfortable pillows and nice feeling bedding. Bathroom had a tub, very convenient when you travel with kids. **Toiletries are great** They use Pharmacology brand on big bottles for body wash / shampoo / Conditioner / Body lotion. Great quality and my curly hair looked amazing after the bath. No need to carry bottles and soap while on this hotel. **The property did not included breakfast** It does offer a $25 dollars buffet in the mornings - $15 for children. (6.30 to 10.30am) The buffet is a hit or miss. Abundance of pastries fruits and breads. Cheese board with turkey and ham. Special note for the fruit tray including fresh figs. Yogurt with granola and berries. The bad: for food I wasn’t impressed. Bacon, links, terrible scramble eggs, and potatos that were old and dry. During the weekend there is an omelette station, but the stove keep turning off.

The hotel has plenty of parking with convenient access to the entrance to the front. The hotel needs a make over, the carpet in the room is showing its age and dull color doesn't help.

We prefer this hotel whenever we travel to Long Island for our ocean trips. The Hyatt is clean, comfortable, and the outdoor pool is an additional attraction. It’s hard to find hotels with outdoor pools.
