Overview

The Extended Stay America Suites Philadelphia Airport Bartram Av offers convenient proximity to Philadelphia International Airport, making it a practical choice for travellers with early flights or late arrivals. While some guests appreciate the spacious rooms with queen beds and kitchenettes, many reviews highlight significant issues with cleanliness, maintenance, and advertised amenities. Reports of dirty rooms, broken furniture, pest infestations, and discrepancies regarding parking and breakfast are common. Positive feedback focuses primarily on the location and the friendly service provided by some staff members. However, the significant number of negative reviews regarding the condition of the hotel should be taken into account.

Worst hotel you can stay. False advertisement when you’re going to book. Is dirty and smells really bad moldy when we turned on AC it smelled like weed. Tub was leaking, kitchen was dirty, bed was broken. Once you pull in to parking lot you can see it. There was a car jack at the side of the entrance building. Looks like they use this place for a shelter . Also they make you pay a $100 deposit which isn't mentioned during reservations, they do refund it but I never had to do this in any other hotels I’ve stayed. You have to pay for parking. It’s not worth it not even for the night stay away.

I don't expect much from a two star hotel, however, I do expect a safe clean stay. Our flight got delayed. I called and Johnny the manager was very nice. He went out of his way to accommodate our 1:30am arrival. meant a lot to me and my traveling 9 year old son. However, Johnny was the only good part about this stay. Upon arrival to the hotel there was someone sitting out in the the parking lot in front of the door smoking marijuana. Went into the lobby and it also smelled strongly of marijuana and cigarettes. We got our key and went to the room. It stunk strongly of cigarettes. The pull out couch was gross. (the girl handed me the sheets for the pullout in a garbage bag upon checking in). My son ended up sleeping next to me and the pillows had a strong cigarette smell to them. It was terrible. woke up the next morning and saw that this place was gross. nasty stains all over the floor and the bathroom was horrible. the tub was stained badly, there were live bugs crawling on the tub and dead bugs on the floor. The baseboard was all falling off and decaying. I was supposed to stay two nights but we checked out immediately in the morning and got a different hotel. This was a horrible experience for me and my 9 year old.

This hotel stay was a 2/10 experience. If I hadn’t driven for almost 9 hours, I would’ve found new accommodations immediately, but I needed rest. When I checked in, the lobby smelled like smoke. Randy, the night-time concierge, informed me that my credit card was charged before my arrival because the hotel was sold out, which was frustrating. At first glance, the room seemed decent, but the longer I stayed, the more issues I found. The only good thing was the clean bed and comfortable mattress. The sofa bed, however, was uncomfortable; my niece could feel the springs. The main door lock felt insecure with a visible gap. The dresser was broken with a missing drawer, and the closet had only 3 or 4 plastic hangers. The kitchen and bathroom were dirty, with brown residue resembling dried-up barbecue sauce. The final straw was finding a dead cockroach in the bathroom. I reported everything to Randy, who said no other rooms were available that night. He assured me we could speak to a manager in the morning to address the issues and the credit card charges. We barely slept and checked out early the next morning. In the morning, I spoke with the manager, Aswani. He confirmed the credit card charge policy and apologized for the dirty room. He refunded my parking fee but didn’t offer a full refund for the night, which was disappointing given the room's condition. I’ve stayed at Extended Stay hotels before and had good experiences, but this was shocking. I do not recommend it.

The positive: the linens were clean. The shower was hot. The questionable: everything was an extra charge: parking, WiFi. The misleading: listing says free breakfast, parking, dishes for suite. Breakfast is a few packaged muffins and cold coffee. Dishes didn’t exist for kitchen. First we were told they’d be delivered the next morning. Then they said they dig them up. Third day they said, “people steal them so they’re not offered” The worst: everything was sticky with a layer of grime on the refrigerator, dressers. Wood floor ( plastic) was sticky. Burn marks all over the counters and the stove was rusty. And though the first two young men at the front desk were pleasant, the third guy was rude, sarcastic and rolled his eyes when our key card needed to be reset.

We booked this hotel because we had an overnight layover in Philadelphia and didn't want to spend too much since it wasn't even a full night. And since we were flying with 2 toddlers, we were hoping they could get a little bit of sleep.. When we got there, we had to change rooms twice because they heavily smelled like cigarette. The gentleman at the front desk was very kind and helpful, no complaints there. However the hotel itself was very sketchy and pretty rundown. There were marks on the doorframe as if someone had tried to unlock the door from outside, and because it was damaged, if you pushed hard enough on the door, it would unlock (yes, my husband tried it). Let's just say the kids slept ok, but we had to sleep with an eye open...

This place is a hidden gem. Great location (near shopping center & airport), great bargain for what is offered AND the staff is best I know. Wayne and Kia are awesome and made my family nkt only feel comfy but welcome. Very nice people. Thank you Extended Stay Bartram Avenue Philly.

I paid for upgraded internet that didn't stay connected. The linen was dingy. How do you have the nerve to charge for parking in a non secured lot? And the audacity to have a list of items they will charge you for if you're desperate enough to take them! We won't even ask why you advertise having everything in a furnished apartment but there was no dishes or cookware anywhere! Oh and that free breakfast is a cup of coffee!! They must have a kickback contract somewhere because I don't know how they stay in business with the stuff I named! Oh yeah we won't say anything about the in and out traffic! That's another can of worms!!

Very convenient and well priced for an overnight stay before an early flight. Would stay here again for the same circumstance.
