Sonesta Select Philadelphia Airport

It consisted of one night so we could drop two family members off at the airport at 5:00 a.m. They both needed wheelchairs, so we wanted to do it ourselves. We didn't really get a good feel for the hotel other than it was clean and nice, and the hotel staff were pleasant and friendly.

Check in went well. Since we were parking for the week, there were no forms to put in our car as they were apparently locked up and not accessible. Also, room coffeemaker did not have proper pods for use. Otherwise, all great. Hoping not to be towed away

This hotel is good value for money. Bro comfortable bed! Shuttle from the airport is on request.

Typical airport hotel. Needs cleanliness but can be manageable.

Staff was awesome. Shuttle was on time to get me to my flight. Close to airport without airport noise.

Other than one front desk employee who left at 11pm on the night of our stay, the staff was friendly, professional, and responsive. A guest with a small dog was placed in the room next to us. The dog barked for hours - while the occupant(s) were out. I am a pet owner as well, so I am all for pet friendly hotels. However, when I went to the front desk to ask what could be done, I was told that I could move to another room. Furthermore, for her to mention something to the guest would be seen as ‘harassment’ and that we would need to move. We requested an accessible room because my sister who was traveling with me has multiple sclerosis. It was 10:00pm and the last inconvenience we needed was to pack up and move to another accessible room - which wasn’t available. Perhaps having a designated area/floor for guests with pets could be considered. Additionally, I don’t particularly like the idea of staying in a room that was occupied by an animal. Seems like guests with allergies or aversions to pet dander could tolerate such a room - no matter how much cleaning took place. We will not be staying nor recommending a Sonesta property nor any option within the chain in the future.

This is a beautifully decorated hotel with friendly staff, comfortable beds, and reasonably priced a la carte breakfast items. I got coffee, muffins and a bagel during the trip and could have gotten fruit, yogurt or breakfast sandwiches. They do not have a pool but do have a courtyard and very nice tables in the entry where a group could gather to talk or eat. I felt safe and it was very close to the airport. In spite of what was on the website, I did not have to pay anything for parking or give them my license etc. We had a car, but I did see a bus that you could take. University City or downtown was about 15-20 minutes by car.

Upon arrival we were only literally sleeping here for 8 hours before getting our flight at 4am. Room was pretty clean with the exception of the bed sheets were dirty. Not much offered at the restaurant for food. We walked to Ruby Tuesday very short walk. Shuttle was promoted on time which I appreciate. Another crazy thing they ask you for $150 retaining for any room damage which was the same amount for a room stay. That made no sense at all. As far a location to the PHL airport was 10 mins. Which was perfect. Be aware if you have 4 am flight the line to get there security took us almost hour we also missed our flight. Not sure if this was a one off or this is a typing morning flighting out of PA that early.
