Homewood Suites Pittsburgh Airport

The room and property was exceptionally nice. Our only complaint is: We booked the room while driving. We were about an hour away when we booked it. Check in is 3pm. We arrived at 5pm with the need to freshen up so we could get a bite to eat then get to a 7pm meeting. The room was not ready. At first they tried to “downgrade” us from a suite with a separate bedroom to an open suite room. This was not acceptable since we were traveling with my sons 12 year old friend so my husband and I needed a separate room. They were able to “rush” us into a handicap accessible room that didn’t have towels stocked yet. We said that was fine (not sure why they couldn’t put towels in it…makes me wonder if the room Wasn’t cleaned at all and someone ran up there in the 15 min we were waiting to make the bed and change the trash…the bathroom floor looked like it had not been mopping. We never received any towels during our 1night stay—luckily we were right next to the pool room and were able to grab some pool towels to get us by.

My second stay at the property to be exact. It's location is great! Really close to plenty of shopping and dining options, close to the airport if that is required. Not exactly close to the sites in Pittsburgh but the price has been perfect and getting in and around Pittsburgh is something to get used to. Still, not bad at all. I've been very satisfied and other than maybe an airbnb type thing in the future, this is my go to.

Hotel is very convenient drive to airport. Staff is very friendly. My room needed updating. Carpet was all stained and pull out sofa had stains on it too. Only stayed for one night

Excellent value. Located in the hills but food and the airport were a very short convenient drive away. The hotel is furnished beautifully, the rooms and hotel are exceptionally clean, and the staff is very helpful. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Room carpet and sofa was dirty, dishwasher was broken and full of dirty dishes. Had no shuttle driver for airport pickup. Could not access pool from inside, had to enter pool from an exterior door which was very cold.

It was all good until it wasn't. They charged us for a stay that never happened. They claimed it was a "no show" even that we were there but got transferred to other hotel after discovering there was no room available we had booked via Expedia. They promised a refund, but after weeks of waiting it never came through. And after several contacts they kept delaying the resolution. Their excuse was there was "no notes" about our requests. Lesson: always get a name and some sort of confirmation when dealing with them.

This is an odd review as Homewood is one of our favorite chains. There were issues, but they were mostly out of their control: Cable to the rooms was out both nights and we were not able to use the pool as they were waiting for a part. 2 night stay. Free shuttle to and from airport. Arrived before noon, no rooms available (we didn't expect there to be). Received a call at 10:30 pm asking us to come down and provide a credit card for incidentals (which I'm pretty sure we did at check in). This couldn't wait til morning? Luckily we were awake, so wasn't too big a deal. Room was of adequate size, breakfast was very good, (service in the breakfast area was exceptional), fitness room was clean and functional tho there was no water in the dispenser. Checked out at 8:30am, received a call later that day asking if we had checked out. Staff was super nice, just some oddities that occurred during this particular stay. Would definitely stay here again, tho hopefully without the "weird" things that we encountered!

Our stay was great, staff was very friendly. Wish the bar hours were a little later or opened a bit earlier. The parking at night was hard to find a spot

Great hotel. Close to airport

This hotel offers complimentary breakfast (daily) and dinner (Mon-Thu). This saved us lots of money and time especially because we have two young kids. It allowed us to spend more time relaxing and shopping. Our suite was very spacious. Even with a stroller, baby playpen, and sofa bed occupying space, our family was able to move around comfortably. We found this hotel convenient located to shopping venues, restaurants, and the airport. We would definitely choose this hotel again.
