Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Richmond Airport

Checked in late due to flight delays and the front desk staff decided that annoyed, one-word answers were appropriate. Seemed like employee was annoyed that we were checking in late and bothering them. Apparently had no thought that we had been delayed and zero empathy. Won’t be staying here again or with Fairfield inn.

New hotel next to airport, still finishing construction around the area. Room clean. Not much to do in the hotel. Friendly Staff, breakfast included (bagels, scrambled eggs, yogurt, oatmeal, cereal, bacon and do your own waffle).

The breakfast was great and the shower in the room was amazing. The staff were really nice. The hotel is 3 minutes from the airport economy parking lot.

Great location from the airport, clean, staff was very nice and helpful. Construction around the hotel, although temporary, was a drawback.

It was a location that made our travel easier that defined the choice of this hotel. Our concern was whether it will be noisy near airport but no, we had no problem with that.

So...this hotel is decent with some minor issues that may be major for some. First the location, if you need the airport it is close and they have shuttle service, if you dont the area is not the greatest, its a bit run down and sketchy in certain areas, it is conveniently located near a 7-11, and some fast food places but again its not the best. The main front end attendant was super nice and down to earth, it was a bit inconvenient that she was taking a shuttle out and no one could check us in until she got back which took 15 minutes, ive never experienced this before at any hotel, especially after a 10 hour drive from Florida with a family of six at 9pm at night, it was not the best start to our stay, the bar tender who let us know we had to wait was nice enough and was doing her best to just help as she could, but not having at least 2 people to check in arrivals so there is always someone there or a dedicated driver, shouldn't really happen, at least in my opinion, i could be wrong. When the lady arrived, she was great and very helpful. My kids wanted to do a quick late night swim after the long drive and we had an hour to do it before the pool closed, but the pool did not look the cleanest, hotel pools are always a bit suspect but this one just didnt look clean enough for me to let my kids go in, it was a bit on the green side, not clear, with foam on the top, the room was just fine, good AC, nice bathroom, beds and amenities, it was good for our needs.

This was an overnight stay. I booked this hotel because of the airport shuttle. I called the day before to advise of the late arrival. Our flight arrived at 11:05 pm, and the shuttle stopped at 11 pm, so we had to get a $20usd taxi. I know it is a late check in, but if you work in the hospitality industry, be courteous. When we arrived the lady at the front desk was very rude. Didn't welcome us or even showed us where the room was located. Horrible attitude. The room wasn't very clean. Two dirty face towels, dirty mirror in the bathroom, the toilet paper was almost finished and they didn't put a new one. If check in starts at 3pm there was plenty of time to clean after the previous guest. I regret I didn't take pictures, but I was too tired. Breakfast was good, but please clean the hot water pot. I just wanted plain hot water and it came yellow. Of course will never stay here again.

Shay and michele at the front desk were so friendly upon arrival. Very accommodating. There is a shuttle to and from the airport. They gave quick and efficient service. The room was clean, quiet and had a comfortable bed. We would definitely stay here again!

This was a last minute stay due to a flight cancellation at 1:00 AM. The front desk was very helpful, room was very clean, bed was super comfortable and the complimentary breakfast was a good bonus.
