Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Richmond Airport

Its a budget hotel near to the airport. Get what you pay for. Semi clean, a little run down, clientele of the budget spectrum. But not terrible and not bad.

DO NOT STAY HERE! The property looks nothing like the picture. Soon as we turn in the parking lot, we immediately left. It’s unsafe. Drug activity in the parking lot in the open. I don’t care if it were free, don’t stay.

The area was quiet even with the airport very close by. Room was outdated but suitable for a one night stay. Mirror at the head of the bed was sketchy, but not a 2 way. Breakfast was muffins, plain bagels and waffles, but sheetz just across the way. Good enough for a quick rest but dont expect much.

Well well..what can I say about this place?! We were there from 7p to 6am just before we flew out of the Richmond airport. It was an ok room. It DEFINITELY needs either a remodel or somesone to do some DEEP cleaning. We didn't find anything gross like others have. The room was clean for a quick stay but again needs a good remodel and scrubbing from head to toe. We only paid $66 cause we just needed a pillow to sleep on for a few hours. Would I stay here again? Only if I needed a cheap, quick 1 night stay. Otherwise I would find something else that I'm willing to put my hard earned money towards and be more comfortable staying longer.

The rooms look nothing like the pictures. The towels were very old and stained. However, I cannot truly complain because it was a cheap hotel near the airport. Sheets were clean. Bathroom was clean.

This hotel is in a bad neighborhood. I paid extra to book the room that had the kitchenette but there were no utensils, pots, pans, plates etc so I could not use it. Basically a waste of my money to book the bigger kitchenette room. There was blatant prostitution taking place here and all around this area. I’m glad my wife and kids weren’t with me because they would not have felt safe. The majority of the guests are living there. Breakfast was cleaned out the moment it was put out and they didn’t replenish it. Loud fighting in the parking lot and one day it was in the lobby. I’m a professional photographer and was here on location. I was Uncomfortable walking around with my expensive camera. My card didn’t work to enter my room each day. Very unsafe area. Carpet was torn up and gross. Sheets in my room had holes. Very run down building and amenities. The pictures must be 20 years old. Avoid this place.

The owner was nice and dealt with many of the tiny issues I had (tv not working, pillows, etc). He even walked with me and made sure I had no issues. I want to preface there we’re very minimal problems with the hotel and the staff themselves. The breakfast was underwhelming but I was not relying on this breakfast having a large selection I just wish the breakfast was more than a few bagels and muffins. The issue I had was with the people who did not seem to be residents and were hanging around in the lobby. They did not seem of good character and even whistled at my girlfriend walking in. Afterwards I had words with the scum that was hanging around and he nor his friends bothered us again. If you are a woman traveling alone do not stay here. You will most definitely feel unsafe. Other than that the owner/front desk worker (I’m not sure what he was) was excellent and was very helpful. Again I must say, if you are a woman traveling alone this is not the hotel for you.

Unfortunately my flight was canceled at Richmond Virginia airport, and they have to rebook my flight for the next day. So I found micro inn suites and booked one night stay two rooms for me and my relatives. Unfortunately it was awful, the rooms were completely dirty, and one of the rooms had huge stains on the bed and all the sheets. We asked for new sheets, and they gave it to us without even trying to make up the bed. Both rooms had clogged toilets. And they had an awful smell in both rooms. This was just a disaster staying at this hotel. I told the person at the front desk that my toilet and the toilet in the other room I booked was clogged. He actually gave me a plunger and said here you go. I couldn't believe it that they didn't even come to try and clear the toilets themselves or send somebody to do it. Also the TVs did not work. In summary, stained sheets. Awful smell. Clogged toilets. TV did not work. No customer service. Dead bugs in both rooms. Sink handles broken.

We stay a night but a hotel as a package so no idea how’s the hotel looks inside! The room stinks very very dirty sheets dirty They said has breakfast but not even a coffee in the morning ! We are ended up to go to the airport early seat there instead of this place m! Never again

I rented a non smoking room and was told not to smoke or I would be charged. The room was smoky. I reported it to the front desk. It was the last room on the 1st floor and the elevator was broken. The public restroom was labeled out of service, as well. I went and got room deodorizer and sprayed the room and brought the minimum of things inside. Long story short, the bed sheets were dirty, the toilet was plugged, there was only a 1/2 roll of toilet paper provided, sink knobs were broken. I went and asked for clean bedding and was provided one sheet that I wrapped up in when I went to sleep. The next morning there was NO HOT WATER for a shower. I packed up, as is and went to ask for a refund. The manager was not available. I called the number for the manager and he did not answer, I left a message and he did not call back. I called again this morning, he wont be in until after 11 a.m. I have initiated a credit card dispute. The location is close to the airport is the only good thing I can say. I cannot blame them for the people in Room 136 that decided that they needed to have a fight when most people at a hotel are trying to sleep. Regardless, it was a lousy night of sleep and I couldn't even clean up in a hot shower.
