Overview

Hotel Ruby is a centrally located Spokane hotel, popular for its proximity to the city's entertainment district and attractions. Many guests praise its clean rooms and friendly, helpful staff. The hotel's retro theme is a frequently mentioned plus. However, reviews consistently highlight limited onsite parking (requiring overflow parking at a nearby lot for a fee), and significant noise issues due to its location near train tracks and busy streets. Some guests find the rooms small, and the hotel's overall condition to be somewhat dated.

Very comfortable bed and a clean room. The limited onsite parking was handy. Great location but a bit noisy. We had a double queen and three guests but there were only two chairs, so one of us always had to sit on a bed. Also, the shower was setup in a way that you had no choice but to stand directly in the initial cold blast of water in when you turned it on. It was okay but I would check out other options if I came back.

We should have clued in when we walked into our room and there were packages of ear plugs that it wouldn’t be quiet…but we didn’t. The location is great, fun theme throughout, clean aside from a hair that didn’t belong to us in the bathroom, but this place has a lot of noise. Maybe you can sleep through it? I couldn’t. A lot of folks before complained about parking but I didn’t see it as an issue at all (and I drive a midsize SUV). There is a parking fee of $5/night and parking is inside a gate. I loved that it was right across from the Knitting Factory, as we were there for a concert. Easy walk to the west end breweries and downtown. We didn’t need our car at all once we arrived.

In the morning the house keeper came into our room without even knocking! We even had the sign on the door "do not disturb". I cant believe Hotel Ruby sent me an invoice for parking!!!!

We Checked in around 5pm and the gentleman working the desk was very unwelcoming and it was as if I was bothering him by asking about how the hotel parking worked. He needs to work on his Customer Service skills as he is the face of the business working the front desk. The Hotel is weathered and in need of some updates. Old Carpeting throughout the entire suite and the outdoor hallway is creaky plywood that caused us to hear every time someone walked to and from their rooms. Housekeeping staff were very friendly and did a great job.

This hotel could seriously use some updating. We have stayed there at least twice before in the past years, and the experience was definitely better then. I was surprised there was a $5 per night charge for parking. That was not made evident at check-in. The staff was very friendly and helpful, though for our two-night stay I thought there would be some housekeeping service and there was not. I expected to at least have them restock the in-room coffee but I had to go to the desk and ask for it. The proximity of the hotel to the train train tracks could be a problem for some, though our room was located was closer to the street and it was not as noisy. Overall, I feel the hotel was worth the rate we paid.

The staff was very kind and helpful. The parking lot is on the smaller side so if you have a large vehicle it might be difficult to park. The address they have you checking in at in the app is not correct. The hotel has spoken with Expedia about it but Expedia has not changed it yet. Quiet little spot that is hidden but close to everything.

One of the most affordable hotels in downtown Spokane with inexpensive parking options. Rooms are small, but comfortable. Service is excellent. Very quiet even though concerts were going on nearby. Very pet friendly!

Great hotel for the price. Clean, friendly, accommodating. A few parking spots at the hotel. Bar downstairs is the bomb. 20% off food and drinks with stay.

The room itself was ok for overnight. The bed wasn't really comfortable. Secure enough for downtown. Parking on lot was tught and only a few cars. Additional parking was available across the street. Staff was awesome. Very friendly and accomadating. We appreciate that.
