Nice historic hotel . Construction going on in the lobby so it was not as beautiful or functional as usual …. Staff friendly . Valet area a bit chaotic and parking across the street is a pretty big deal breaker . Downtown Spokane is quite a dump like most big cities on the west coast , but lots to walk to so I guess it’s ok if you know what to expect ….

It’s always a treat to stay in this beautiful, historic hotel. Beautiful lobby and nice, comfortable rooms, and professional and helpful staff. Valet parking is expensive, but efficient and convenient. Fun location within walking distance to many shops and restaurants and the riverfront parks.

I have stayed here many times before but will not stay again. Even during COVID it was a great place to stay even though room service was not available for understandable reasons. On my last stay here I was close to the elevator which might seem good but you could hear people as soon as they got off & I could hear the man next door & a great deal of street traffic including motorcycles. This time bellman service was very limited & I gave up once after a 4 hour wait. The valet parking was also not well staffed but they did well with so few people to man it. Was away for most of my days but as soon as I returned each day there was way too much noise in the hallways; my room & outside on the street.

Dear traveler reader… did you know the historic Davenport has a huge closet on floor 4…. They call this a king size suite… yet No windows to be found. Could it be a secrete room? Could it be haunted? No one will ever know. I highly suggest asking if your room has windows when checking in. As we were shocked we had no windows in our king size suite.

Had a late check-in due to late plane arrival. Check-in was swift and easy. Only one night stay due to further travel. Pricey hotel and did not like the extra daily amenity fee for optional services that I will not use for a one night stay. Arrival at 9:15 pm and departure at 10:00 am.

Although the city of Spokane in infested with homeless junkies this motel does an excellent job keeping them out of their motel and parking areas. And they do it with class. I always stay at the Historical as it is unique and in a great location.

Magnificent historic building to explore. Easy walking distance to river and dining. Easy parking across the street. In house dining is just OK, but better choices are near by.

Rooms were spotless and so was hotel. Love that they have valet parking, makes it so nice to not to have to worry about parking.
