Hampton Inn & Suites Tampa Airport Avion Park Westshore

From beginning to end, this hotel was amazing. Easy check in and out. The area was great with a lot of restaurants and bars around. The football stadium was very close by. Please check out the restaurant next door, i forgot the name but it's fantastic. Also the airport was pretty much across the freeway. The hotel has pick up and drop off from and to the airport. Loved it.

We were evacuated from our rental on Anna Maria Island with Hurricane Helene getting close, so I had to scramble to find a place for us to spend our last 3 days in Tampa. I booked this hotel online and arrived the next day to find that it was also in an evacuation zone. The girl at the desk told me she was waiting to hear what corporate wanted to do about possibly evacuating. Shortly after getting settled in our room they said we would be allowed to stay if we signed a waiver agreeing to stay at our own risk. I was very happy to do so believing that it was going to be safe place, and they also had free parking in a garage so we could have our rental car on the second floor. It turned out we never saw any storm surge at the hotel although there was significant damage to the west and even east of us. So we were completely safe when the hurricane hit. The room was especially comfortable and very quiet even though there were others staying nearby on our floor and above and below us. The breakfast was fantastic each day and had many delicious options, another pleasant surprise! There were also nearby restaurants and things to do during our stay. TPA being literally across the road was very convenient when it was time to catch our flight.

Our stay at Hampton Inn & Suites Tampa Airport Avion Park Westshore was a post cruise stay. We were staying an extra day and rented a car at he airport. This hotel is conveniently located for an early morning flight. Basically just across the street. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We were able to check in earlier than 3 pm. Having a car was very beneficial since there is not a lot of restaurants within walking but close enough for a short drive. I highly recommend this hotel.

The parking was inconvenient, the AC had issues, so they had temporary portable ax units through out the hotel. Our floor has no ice the whole time we were there. The room and hall were soo musky smelling and feeling. Just felt that it left a lot to be desired. The room was also dirty when we arrived even though they claim it was clean. Food In The trash can, towel has make up on it. No toilet paper!

Staff was very helpful and accommodating. They gave me an early check-in to which I was very grateful. Also airport transportation was available for an early morning flight.

Started the stay with a dirty room after getting our new room the beds were very firm and uncomfortable. I understand staying by the airport would be noisy however there was a very loud alarm go off in the middle of the night.

Very small parking lot. Housekeeping every other each day.

Room was clean, conveniently located near the airport. Bed was very comfortable. The included breakfast had a good variety of options and kept fresh.

Excellent location close to airport, shuttle service very quick and reliable. Grab and Go breakfast could have been a little nicer, though.

Everyone was very nice and helpful. The property is a 3 min drive from the airport...provided you don't miss the exit going into it. Otherwise it's a 34 min drive. The breakfast has a lot of good variety and parking is in a parking tower nearby. My one complaint is that after breakfast is gone, there is only hot water in the public area so it becomes difficult to get cold water. I left a manatee plush on my bed before housekeeping came and they positioned the manatee on the pillows for when we came back!
